Woo may have run 30 more plays, but they gained only 3 yards net in the 3d quarter.

Bad days / nights happen. I'm still feeling that Wabash will have its hands full against CoW.

They will for sure....  me thinks that if Wabash can score first early,  that some of the things we saw last night could materialize with these Scots.  It will be a good tough test for the Little Giants.  Contain on the edges may be the key to everything this week for the Bash D.  I don't have much doubt that we will be able to score on this Scots Defense.
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

wooster fans I am a fan also but I am speaking as an outside observer who just loves to go too college football games. That game last night was about as ugly as it gets. I do wish you well, I am a fan and would love too see you guys win the league but a lot of work needs done and fast. I will say this the defense hung in there despite what continually happened to the offense. Thank goodness the marching band was great last night, that was one of best halftime shows I have seen next too last years michigan wizard of oz show. Good luck next week, hope too the the scotts rebound. P.S. just make sure and beat OWU those are the most arrogant people I have ever met.

I'm no defensive coordinator, but my game plan for next week would be to point CJ in the direction of #8 and say "go get him."  BJ might have something more nuanced in mind.

I am sure there will be some serious spying going on.

AND:  If I was the Wooster Offensive Coordinator, I would tell #8, if you want to see the 2nd half, do not take a direct hit from #33.

And unless they want WWIII, no cheap hits on Wes.

Bashbro/BashDad,

Yes, "love fest" was too strong and my timing didn't help.  I got on the webcast late in the 1st half.  I did see Flagg get loose and dude get's chunks in a hurry!  I'm as anxious to see Scola as I am CJ - I'm hoping for a breakout season and like the contrast between he and CJ in playing styles.

BashDad - I did enjoy the chat while watching the game, hilarious.

Speaking of "ouch"... I've been holding onto this information for nearly a week.  I've been holding back because I'm always leary of giving up inside information.  However this will be very, very apparent at the scrimmage.

The key to Wheaton's offense is out for the season.  Jordan Robert's blew out his ACL last Friday and is lost for the year.  While Wheaton has two very capable backup QB's, anyone who watched Wheaton games last year knows Roberts makes Wheaton a far more dangerous offense.  He was a duel threat.  In my opinion, he would have been a potential candidate for OPOY in 11'.

What may be worse is that Wheaton lost their best offensive lineman to a broken ankle.  This was an area of biggest question for Wheaton, so this loss is very difficult.

Looks like Wheaton's character will once again be tested before the first snap of the first game.  I'm confident the coaching staff and players will find a way to get it done and won't make excuses.

DadofBashWarrior..

Also just realized an old friend of mine is now coaching the offenive line at Wheaton...Am looking forward to seeing him tomorrow...Very fine Man...Ron Harris....he was at Glenbrook South HS for many years as head coach and his son Matt was a Wheaton QB some years back...

Ha!  Also, that UStream chat box was about 19 times more entertaining than fumblefest going on to the left of it.

Anyone watching the Baylor / TCU game on ESPN? Either TCU is doing something right on the kick return game or Baylor's kick coverage is horrid. NCAC coaches may want to take note about good and / or bad...

Oh, and the ref threw a flag on TCU. The verbatim quote:

I've SEEN that several times before, but I've never heard a ref express it! ;D

Now for a ref to sometime announce: "Holding on the entire OL :D".

Tiger up Witt!!! Reload, not rebuilding on the defensive side, but heck the offense may score enough points it won't really matter.

Dunno if there's much of anything to be learned in Terre Haute tonight.  I think DePauw is expected to beat RHIT fairly soundly.  I hate the expectations that come with playing bad teams, especially in Week #1.  If you blow their doors off, then you've done nothing more than what you're supposed to do.  If you don't, it's panic time.  There's no outcome that makes me think, "Hey, this might be a pretty good football team."
