Smeds  -    You may know.... Russ thinks that may be the longest punt return in Wabash history?   He remembers G. Walker having a 93 yarder....
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Wes, are you sequestered in Memphis?

Can't find the media guide. Or an old one online since the re-tooling. Hmmm....

I've been following live stats for most of this....finally back at a laptop, but the UStream is choppy so I'm skipping it.  A couple of observations here...

- Hard Hat D is as nasty as ever.  Holy cow.  Just filthy.
- Wes freaking Chamblee.  That is all.
- I think we read this script last year...turn the QB over a couple of times early, block a punt, stretch a big lead at halftime.  This is exactly what happened last year in C'ville.  The players are mostly the same here, not sure why we would have expected something different.

Excellent job by the LGs going up north and handling their business.  This is a pretty impressive performance so far.

Unless someone else goes gonzo-nutzoid in D3 land, Chamblee's almost a lock for team of the week! 3 punt returns for a 44.3 average and a score.

Walker's punt return vs. Oberlin in '05 was 93 yards and is an NCAC record.  Looks like Wes is getting credit for 94 yards, so we've got a new record.  Nice.

Negative.  I'm sequestered at my desk in Indianapolis.  I'm just watching the live stats.  I shouldn't have to pay Rhodes to watch my team, I don't think.  That's a bit silly.

Do have the Wabash steam up, along with ND, Michigan, Ball St, and Butler.  Perk of working in TV, I suppose.

Meanwhile,

Case leads Denison 24-6 midway through the 3rd. No upset special there.

Wittenberg taking care of Allegheny, up 31-3 in the 4th.

It really is amazing how different Witt plays at home vs. on the road.  Not sure I can quite figure that one out.

Oberlin up 27-7 with 8:36 in the 4th.

Kenyon football is still in deep cover mode...

Wabash could move up in the rankings, as Muskingum still leading ONU. Springfield tied at half with Alfred.

Thomas More up by 4 over W & J at the half. Interesting.

Huntingdon beating Hampden - Sydney (#22) which could give Wabash some votes depending on where some voters had HSU.

And back in Minnesota, the Johnnies are losing...to Augsburg! Paul Pribbenow's bowtie is spinning!

Still 7-0 Rhodes at half.  DePauw has 130 yards.  Trinity gained 524 yards last week against this defense.

Schweir 7-17 for 46 yards.  21 carries between Ellis, Cato, & Schweir for 84 yards.  They've even forced 3 Rhodes turnovers.  Just cannot move it.  Can't really punt it very well, either.  6 of them at a 32 yard average.  If you can't move it and can't kick it out of your own end, you're in big, big trouble.

SID confirmed that Wes' return was a Wabash record!

A spy broke through the Lords' perimeter, and before being dunked in the natatorium he transmitted the score: Carnegie-Mellon 35, Kenyon 14.
