Thomas More can't shake the Presidents, up only 28-24. Always thought TM was overrated. Wabash may gain a spot or two thanks to ONU's issues with Muskingum.

DePauw 0
Rhodes 10
Start 4th

Rhodes is starting to gain yardage in bunches.  They got down on the doorstep on their first possession but turned it over again.  Got back down there again after DePauw punted and had to settle for 3.  DePauw has been inside the Rhodes 30 one time this afternoon and turned it over on downs.

Maybe I'll get lucky and the live stats will crash or my computer will break.

I just wonder how the conference shift and "limbo" is affecting this Depauw program......   There has to be talent there and it is just not performing.

First, the ONU game and now I see that Heidelberg leads Otterbein 38 -7......  What is going on in the OAC today?
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

More than issues, smeds.  Musky handled ONU 27-7.  The Bears are going to fall out of the top 25 for sure.  Hampden-Sydney is also getting handled down in Alabama.  Some top 25 shakeup is coming.

Wartburg is now losing to Coe as well, though that's a rivalry game and Coe's under-performed thus far.

And now Capital's leading B-W. I think the OAC only wants one team in the playoffs this year.

TMC just went on a soul-sucking 14-play drive and has a 35-24 lead on W&J.  The Prez need some quick offense here.

I think it's a lot of contributing factors.  This offense is starting over with new faces all over the place.  There's not a ton of upperclassmen on the roster.  They're playing a ton of road games.  I just don't think it's a very good football team this year.  They lost a lot.  They're in rebuilding mode.  I'll listen to the arguement that the good teams never need that, but when you change coaches like this program has, it has to make it a little more difficult, doesn't it?  I'm just not sure if the conference thing has much to do with it.

It's 17-0 now, btw.  This goose is cooked.

I've been absolutely amazed at how competitive DePauw has been able to remain given the coaching turnstyle since 2003.  Perhaps it is manifesting itself just now with a little gap in recruiting classes?  Whatever the reason, I'm sure this is a blip...it's a weird season with some weird context for you guys.  If you're going to have a season with a bunch of young guys that are learning, maybe it's not all bad that you're kind of out there in the D-III ether at the moment.  I don't think that space is an ideal space, but if you're going to be there it's best to be there with this team as opposed to the 2010 or 2009 Tigers is what I'm getting at.

And in the "UAA isn't that great" category, North Park, the forgotten one in the CCIW, leads Wash U. 13-10 in the 4th.

I'd argue that the 'limbo' isn't much of an excuse. No matter if you can make the post-season or not, the game's the thing. Play hard and win it.

DePauw now trailing Rhodes 16-0 in the 4th quarter.  What is the Wartburg/Coe score?  ONU got handled.

How about the Wabash D starting 3 frosh today?  2 LB's in Tyler Buresh and AJ Akinribade (who recruited that guy!) along with Houston Hodges.  Huge congrats to Coach BJ Hammer and his D thus far in the young season...they play fast and can really lay the wood, fun to watch!  I like the scheme and it seems like the D play calls are really on target (Hodges on the corner blitz today for a big loss!) And, as Wally already said, TODAY without CJ Gum...wow!  Wes's punt return was sick on the video...big cut back across the field - totally awesome - dude covers serious ground in a hurry!

Wartburg now up 24-21 with 11:47 left. Can Coe get Fred Jackson back for a series?

Akinribade is legit.  He's settled into that group of linebackers quite nicely.  2.5 sacks, 3 TFL today.  Glad he's on our side.

W&J got down to the TMC 4...4th and goal trailing by 11.  Went for it and didn't get it.  Difficult call there...I don't know what W&Js kicking situation is, but a FG isn't a bad play there.  Still gets you to a one score game.  Prez have it back now with just under 5 minutes to go.  Difference is that they still need two scores.

Of course, W&J gets a quick strike score and the two point conversion.  We'll see if the Saints can run out the last 3:30.
