Capital beat B-W. ONU lost today. Otterbein may lose. The OAC is a mess, except for the Purple.

W&J cuts it to three. And Wash U. lost to North Park.

LG extrapoint kicker maybe should work out at an RB

Dannies problems: (not necessarily in order):  1) conference change, 2) interregnum in entering new conference, 3) scheduling done by lottery ... "on the road again", 4) girls field hocky team playing on the football field, 5) coaching or lack thereof ... (I vote for DPU head coach remain there 4Life)  ALL ... translates into recruiting issues at least sort range and morale going into toilet ........... AND ...... TRUMPETS UP ... 47-0 is now firmly at risk of being THE WORLD - 0 ..... and then what that will do to recruiting.  Where is President "Crudspatter" when you need him.  Is it too late to impose more regulations on Wabash tailgaters?  Or reduce the stands and number of tickets the LGs get?  (This rant is with allopogies to Wes ... but it was fun.)

Keith ate his humble pie to me on Twitter. He does pick 'last' and I don't think anyone saw that ONU would fall this hard.

I laughed at this.  Well played, sir.   :)

Coe scores but misses the XP. They're up 27-24. LG's definitely could move into Top 15 if that holds.

D3football.com feed says that Thomas More intercepted WJ late to preserve the win. Don't think voters will penalize Thomas More for just a 3-point win, since even though W&J is unranked, it IS W&J and TM played them on the road. Still, though, a Top 15 for Wabash could ensue.

WUStl goes down, but they've got two weeks to get right and get prepared for their trip to C'ville.  Wabash owes the Bears a little payback.  Wouldn't mind seeing the LGs put a little stank on it on 10/8.

I've been absolutely amazed at how competitive DePauw has been able to remain given the coaching turnstyle since 2003.  Perhaps it is manifesting itself just now with a little gap in recruiting classes?

If you argue that's the case, I should point out that these seniors were recruited in 2007 and the juniors were recruited in 2008.  There's a head coach that was there that recruited only those two classes.  Worth mentioning.  I hate saying that because I love Walk, but the facts are the facts.

EDIT: For the sake of full disclosure, Robby Long was the recruiting coordinator on those teams, but he'd been the recruiting coordinator going all the way back to Lynch.  I should have said that from the beginning.  Since he and Hreha are really the only constants through this whole deal, I'm not really sure they're the ones to be blaming, if you're in the mood to pass blame.  I probably shouldn't have singled out Walk like that, since it's probably a combination of many, many things.  Think we're all just a little frustrated right now about how this is going.

Let's see if MajorTom comes back on here and gives respect.

haha I didn't really wasn't intending to disrespect anyone with my opinion on me thinking Chicago would keep it close and make a game of it.  I never said Wabash wasn't good or were gonna lose.  I just thought with the guys they had from last year and being a big home game they keep it within 10.  Hats off to Wabash for winning so big.

I'm flattered you were thinking about me the last couple of days ;)

AJ Akinribade (who recruited that guy!)

As long as you are recruiting Bulldogs, get cracking on their running back.  Dude's a stud.

I don't like giving praise to you stupid Cavemen, but that defense is legit.  Big, strong, fast, and mean as a snake.

Thanks Wes - and we are without 5th year Senior - CJ Gum today.....  they are playing tough today.   I don't think the Chicago "Bears" were ready for us.

Bashbro,

Looks like they're emulating the Chicago Cardinals. Check out this page for the original logo (on the right)....

Wittenberg final was 38-3, not 38-7, don't give Allegheny any more credit.

I'm sure this is a moot point on this board as I'm out numbered, however, I don't think Wabash justifiedly should be ranked ahead of Witt. I guess those rankings don't really matter though.

The only point I'd make against Witt being ranked higher is that the Wash U result got a lot worse today.  The Bears lost to North Park.  That's a problem.  I think Wabash & Witt are probably interchangeable at the moment. I do believe as time goes on we'll see Wabash is a more complete team, though.

Wabco -- did I see your choice for Top 25 team to be upset? And then pick again after your first two picks are already taken by me and Ryan Tipps. Then you can slam someone else's prognostications.
