Lost the feed from Alabama. Wittenberg sabotage?  ;)

Macalester still whopping Hiram 31-7 in the 4th.
Power went off for a few minutes in the 3rd quarter. Played on, keeping time on field until it came back on.

Who and what is Trevor Manuel?  BashDad - fill us in?

Manuel was the main Huntingdon RB. But I was impressed by their entire offense.

Mr. Manuel had 152 yards on the ground with two rushing scores and took two catches for 75 yards and two more TDs.

CWRU is also all over Oberlin 30-7 right before halftime.  The guys on the CWRU vid feed said Oberlin had "about 30" players dressed tonight.  That's just entirely too difficult to navigate 10 games with under 40 players.

I don't know if it will be possible for Oberlin to finish the year.  Their two-deep only listed 7 O linemen.  Their left tackle went out with a serious leg injury (air cast).  Shortly thereafter RB and WR left the game with injuries and were iced the rest of the game.

The final 20 miinutes or so of the game were played with a running clock.

Comments on Wabash/Wash U Game-

Hard Hat D was awesome!  They were hitting everyone and got some tremendous pressure in the backfield today.

Offensive line -  I think this was their best game of the season by far....  Chase had plenty of time.   Rb's had holes all day.  Bravo!

Mr. Belton - It was apparent in the first half, that his mind was not in Crawfordsville, Indiana....  distracted,  non committal and unfocused....
it was great to see him settle down and he played much better in the 2nd half.   That pass he threw to Horn in the 2nd half down the sidelines was magnificent.   Another game under his belt,  he's a winner, all he needs now to truly be great ; is consistency.

Kicking game - Tremendous...Pats' &  long field goal (check) and I believe the punting avg was North of 45 + yard avg. (check)  I will take that.

Wes Chamblee - He is special..very special.

Great victory over a well coached team that we have found can beat you if you don't come to play.

WAF!

Was at Bash today, bitter sweet with the Scola injury but hope he's ok.  He and CJ are sick when they are both in together.  This Bash D is nasty - very fun to watch.

He's the guy pictured on Triple Take this week. Still on the front page.

Watched the LG game for a good part..and bashbrother, the announcers
said pretty much the same thing about the QB....the more game experience
he gets the better he will be. And he is a good one. Liked the bandanna.

I watched much of the Wittenberg-Huntingdon game online although the video coverage was somewhat choppy. Wittenberg had several chances to get back into the game after putting themselves in a 2 score hole early but untimely interceptions hurt them. Huntingdon has some athletes on their team, especially their running back.

The point margin is somewhat surprising, but the result not so much. Tough road trip for Witt to travel all the way down to Alabama and we can thank Hiram for this one!

So it's the trip to Alabama that was the issue for Witt? Was that with the banjo on your knee?

You know, I saw Birmingham Southern play down in Naples, FL. That's 12 1/2 hours on a bus. They took care of business with great ease.

Those wacky ASC teams have to travel all over Texas (and Louisiana and Mississippi).

Mississippi College has to travel to Sul Ross State this year (Clinton, MS to Alpine, TX). That's 15 hours in a bus.

Don't cry for me Wittenberg. Your team has trouble on the road, whether it's just to Delaware (remember, you only led OWU 20-13 in the fourth) or St. Louis, or Alabama.

Besides, if you want to play with the big boys (not just Wabash, but in the playoffs where you'll have to face the OAC and / or CCIW eventually), you gotta win wherever you play them and make no excuses about the long bus ride. And blaming Hiram is not acceptable either - you may have been able to blast Hiram, but does that get you ready for Wabash and the playoffs? Huntingdon certainly gets you ready. They're fast and they hit; did not you notice?
