I seriously don't think there will be a problem with focus tomorrow. The team is prepared, they know what they are playing for and there are a few Seniors on the team that will not let them lose focus.

I feel like a kid on Christmas eve........ 8-)

Smeds -  Running over to the sports bar to test the Laptop/HDMI/Big Screen concept.

I am planning on hooking the laptop up to my TV to watch tomorrow's game. It always makes it seem like I went to a much bigger school when I do that.

Dudes. Everyone should watch this.

It's the highlight package from Witt's last game against CMU. In it, you'll see that nearly every passing play is a 25-30 yard post, dig, or seam against a middle-open two-safety defense. We play with a similar shell, though I've got to think we'll be dropping CJ into that hole or doing something to both bait the throw and interrupt it. Look at the picks: Same play, same coverage. Pressure. Tossing it up. Those are some really stupid throws.

This is what they're are going to do tomorrow, I promise. They're going to attack deep middle all day and Zoeller is going to make a handful of throws that could cost them dearly.

He's also, probably, going to hit on one or two of these for major chunks of yards.

It'll be fun to see it play out. I'm excited.

No doubt. That's the best. Especially with the Wabash feed.

I totally agree.   I am telling you,  QB Hurries and QB sacks is going to be the critical stat of the day for this Wabash D.   If we are still talking about Wabash needing to find a way to get pressure on Zoeller at Half,  then we are probably behind on the scoreboard.   I am confident that ER & Co,  will have some fun drawn up that hasn't shown itself on film this year.

IT'S HAMMER TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can not wait to get to Crawfordsville in the early am to watch what would have been my brothers last home game against the team 5min from our house. He would always get a little more amped for this game. Looking forward to seeing everyone and safe travels to all.

BashBacker#16

Was Keith bullied as a kid by a Wabash guy?  Is his ex-wife's dad and brother a Wabash grad?  Did his wife cheat on him with a Wabash grad?  Was he teased as a little kid and called a little giant?  Did he apply to Wabash and not get admitted?  What gives...  Keith - as "Kevin" said from the TV show "The Office" - "suck it losers"   ;D

BashDad - excellent stuff brosef.

You guys see the movie "Vision Quest?"  CJ is "Shoot" and is currently walking up and down the steps at Hollett Little Giant Stadium with a railroad tie across his shoulders!!!  I'm at an airport right now and am throwing forearm shivers in to dudes hoping they are Witt grads!

Now I'm going to have to watch that tonight. And yes, I own the DVD.

FYI!

Anyone near South Florida can come to Muddy Waters in Deerfield Beach at 1, as Bashbro has gotten permission (and I assume worked out the technical details) to watch the Witt / Wabash contest on a big screen. Be there, aloha!

I sent a text on Monday to him wishing that the Witt game was in a sports bar. And well, here we are!

Good luck Bash fans! Hopefully a Witt victory will lead us to having 2 NCAC teams in the playoffs, but Witt hasn't shown anythign too cute the past couple of weeks, so I think they will be ready to roll.

As for lack of Witt fans, I can't speak for anyone but myself, I don't follow football as intensely as basketball, so I can't offer strategic perspective, but I remain faithful!

Bashbacker, I think this Facebook post by one of the Witt players sums it up: "What is my legacy? How will I be remembered? All or nothing on Saturday. Either I'm walking away a champion or nothing at all."
As for that 2002 game, any chance someone could put it on YouTube? I'm hoping over the years more old D3 highlights will show up on line. For example, someone recently posted Wittenberg's 2000 highlight reel to YouTube. I had typed the name of Casey Donaldson, the great Witt RB, about a thousand times over the years and had never even seen a highlight of him until I saw that 2000 video, which was the year before I started covering the Tigers.
