Okay. So. Can we all agree that we're giving the POY award to Belton?

That first half was incredible. And it had a lot to do with the play of 13.

I agree with this in a big way.

EDIT:

I understand there was little fanfare after the game today so THIS is for Wally Wabash's sake.

So the first ever Wabash/Witt telecast party was a success at Muddy Waters in Deerfield Beach, thank Smeds!

Secondly, and much more importantly,  Chase Belton is amazing.   For me, it was as much as what he didn't do today as what he did, although what he did was great.   I saw him throw the ball away more today than he has all season, I saw him play within the offense with confidence and be the complete QB that I knew was there.  He grew up today bigtime!!!!  and I completely applaud him!   Big games......bring out the best in the best players!

CHASE BELTON SHOULD and WILL be the OPOY in the NCAC!   He is now the complete player with (1) year remaining...can't wait.....

Bravo #13 and Bravo Little Giants...   2011 NCAC Champions!!!!!!     Simply a great effort today!     Defense gets my game ball, the entire defense was great... love seeing Zoeller going down... congrats Wabash Men!

and Finally.... tweet that!

I could not be prouder as a Wabash Football Fan... then I am today!   Credit to the Coaches, Fans and Players.... but most of all Mr. Chase Belton!

The NCAC Trophy is back next to the Bell.... where it belongs!

WITT OFFENSE -  156 total yards,  10 yards rushing...... wow.... just wow!  Hard Hats came out to play today!

Back from the Hollett and, yeah, that was cool.  First, you can't say enough about the job Coach Hammer and his defense did today.  BashDad saw from the CMU highlights that Witt's offense is primarily deep stuff that requires time...time that this defense wasn't about to give them.  I was surprised to not see Witt adjust to some shorter, quicker stuff in the second half (I believe WashU made that adjustment with some success a few weeks ago).  All told that beastly Witt offense managed 156 yards of offense and just 9 first downs.  They had just one drive of more than 28 yards (the scoring drive that opened the second half).  Incredible performance from the Hard Hats.

As noted, Belton played a great game today.  The TD pass to  Chamblee was perfect, he made another great pass on 3rd and long in a key spot, and he ran effectively (79 yards and 2 TDs).  I think he's your OPOY this year.

Can't finish the thought about the offense without noting the tremendous job the offensive line did today.  Wabash ran for 243 yards today and the vast majority of it was up the gut smash mouth style.  That's your o-line kicking tail and they did it from the jump today.  Awesome, awesome job.

Other than the long snapping on punts, there isn't much to shake your head at today.  The snapping will get fixed, I'm sure.

Champs!  Congratulations Wabash!!

You are next.

Dude, I didn't even have to click that link to know it was the Bloodsport clip.  Nice pull.  That film was totally robbed at the Oscars.

In some other news, Thomas More who is a team that could potentially wind up in Wabash's quadrant lost today.  Good news for teams angling for home games.

Witt is mediocre, at best.  Or maybe they're having a day like we did at Cvl last year.

This is pretty inaccurate.  Wittenberg is a good football team that got beat by a better football team today.  Y'all will figure this out starting next year.

Offense drives for show, but the defense putts for dough! Belton was great but the D was better!

I never want to say the Bell game is a mere tune-up. It's not. I expect nothing but domination against DPU.

Now I'm sitting here and watching Northwestern (the smart guys) beating Nebraska (where the "N" stands for knowledge) at Lincoln, and seeing the Big Red fans streaming out of the stadium.

I also saw that Albion and Thomas More losing today.

Thank goodness it's Bell Week before the playoffs. There won't be any loss of focus. But for added measure, Raeburn should have the Northwestern / Nebraska game cued up just to get rid of any complacency.

Zoeller = felt heat all day.

Bash D was awesome.  Witt averaged .5 yards per rush.

BB16 - Easy dude. Keith likes Wabash. Trust me. Just the most logical 'upset' pick for him. Lots of twitter convos with him this year. The flaccid NCAC made it tough for those not here to see the grandeur of this LG team.
