Pretty good and fair U-Tube Bashbro.

16 ... if that idiot Breck dares show at your tailgate ... lay one on him for me.  I will gather the resources and lawyers to take care of the aftermath.

What do you bet ... if ER wins the toss ... just like Witt ... he sends the O out there.  I think the O will handle them with the running game and then it is aty bar the door.  Plus I do not think they have enough QBs to withstand the handling the D gave Witt style.  I do not see DePauw getting any points ... unless by some freak event.  And there will only be one maybe of those (assuming we have our long snappers in check and our punter schooled on what to do.)

Yeah, I guess Pat got his panties in a bunch because I made an off-color joke and whipped out the lock.  Look Pat, if you are upset with a joke that I made, then feel free to ban me.  Don't lock the thread for everyone else.  They didn't do anything, and someone has to listen to Breck's insipid ramblings.

The Monon thread has traditionally been about slinging meaningless insults back and forth to blow off some steam.  They call us gay, and we call them homophobes.  So now, I suppose because of headlines, the pretty tame joke I made was amplified and a whole lot of people got upset, and seem to have made a big deal out a stupid joke.

So I'll gladly take one for the team and voluntarily get banned from your site.  Even if you don't ban me, I'm not ever going to post here again, so you might as well exercise that power you seem to prize.  Honestly, I have precious little desire to post here anymore.  I was looking for the usual stupid back and forth that we perpetrate every November, but apparently that's not acceptable anymore.  I'll go away to where empty jokes aren't taken so seriously.

A humble request: Let's stick to football here and not rehash heinously insensitive insipid behavior (from both sides).

On a football related note:

feckless (adj) - ineffective, incompetent, futile.

I'll use it in the sentence.

The DePauw offense has been quite feckless this year.

See, John Fischer would be proud!

As Class of '99, you're old enough to know the difference between what's appropriate and what isn't. Nobody has agreed with you that your post was in good taste. So if you think I have my panties in a bunch, well, you better start looking around at your fellow Wabash fans, because they appear to feel the same way I do. I'm just the one that had the key to the board.

This isn't every November, sir.

thanks Pat.  I thought the same thing.  Many of the debash posters have echoed their sentiments.  Breck sends his regards.  t minus 8 hours before we head down to the world's greatest rivalry.

Here's a fact: The day before the Bell game is the single longest day of the year.

Cool, then.  Everyone's in agreement that I made a tasteless joke, and am a monster.   And I'm sorry if anyone was seriously upset by a bad joke on an internet message board.  For my part, I'm gone, I'll never visit your site or post on the forums again.

So at least open the thread again so everyone else can discuss the game.

Good luck this weekend, Wabash.

You get +k from me for telling it like it is. Civility is one thing but the politically correct culture on the board has gotten to the point of being boring IMO.

Here is a piece written by HDNET's Kenny Rice, who will call the game tomorrow.

If you get past the inaccuracies, it's pretty good.  He gets DePauw's stadium wrong.  Doesn't know how far Greencastle is from Indy.  Also said DePauw was in the top ten heading into last year's game, which is wrong.  It has some cliche, but it's still worth the time it takes to read it.

There's also a video in there with HDNet's promo, which I'd previously seen make air.  Sure would be nice if they could pronounce "Monon" correctly.

smedindy

Well, I always thought you went into a wrinkle in the space / time continuum when you crossed into Putnam County. Oh, maybe that was the time I took Highway 240 into town coming from the Indy area.

Always amuses me -- people who want a favor while simultaneously being insulting. That's not really a good way to get what you ask for.

I really don't think he was as much asking a favor as saying that, "hey, i pissed you off, don't agre but i am leaving.  Don't hold it against the rest..."  I personally don't call it a favor in my mind.  OTOH it's your board.
Been rooting for Dear Old Wabash since 1976...

Does Wooster stand a chance tomorrow?  Will be interesting to see how Witt bounces back.  Witt's stadium is my favorite of all in the NCAC.  And a beautiful drive this time of year to Springfield.
There was snow on the ground this morning--just a little.
