Nike-

I haven't had the chance to see Witt this year, so I'm just going on what I've heard on here and seen from Woo. That being said, it would be a big upset if Wooster leaves Springfield with a win tomorrow. Witt is a different team at home, and unless they've absolutely packed it in after the loss to Bash, I don't think Wooster has the depth or offensive firepower to win it. It could be a close game if they can run the ball on Witt, but their lack of depth will make it tough to win it. I hope they make me eat my words. Who knows, if the D can keep the score low, they might steal it. Would be great for recruiting to get some momentum into next year with a win.

See, John Fischer would be proud!

Indeed....Now I'll be really impressed if you could work Rowena into a Dannie insult!

Does Wooster stand a chance tomorrow?  Will be interesting to see how Witt bounces back.  Witt's stadium is my favorite of all in the NCAC.  And a beautiful drive this time of year to Springfield.
There was snow on the ground this morning--just a little.

I think so.  Increasingly, I think this game means more to Wooster than it does for Wittenberg.  Two of Wittenberg's best players now have a basketball season to look forward to and ought to be protected...I think Wooster has a chance to catch a team that might just be playing out the string tomorrow.  If they want to beat Witt tomorrow they need to bring the heat on defense.  Constantly.  Blitz blitz blitz.

Agreed Wally. If you lay lumber on Zoeller he's not the same QB. And when you all see Florence in the game be prepared for some Chase Belton-type offense.

Am packing it in ... starting to get amped for the game.  (Not as amped as was for Witt ... as playoffs, conference championship and quality of opponent were causing aingst, but amped nevertheless.)

Believe Wabash should have their way with the Dannies ... unless we create our own problems (read: snaps over the QB or punter's head, field goal kicker thinking about a phys-chem problem ot tyhe like.) but even if we are casual for some reason ... will prevail ... too much talent all over the field.

Believe Wabash D will smother them ... absolutely smother them.

Believe punting will be an "experience" for them with the likes of Najar playing on their side of the ball.

Believe Dannies are in for double poison on kicks:  out of bounds which gives Wabash short field or the ultimate poison ... kick to Wes.

Believe Wabash will have a field day with passing to its very talented receivers who know all about scoring 47 points.

Believe Dannie D may slow Bash running attack better than Witt did (that is not saying much) but Wabash passing will open it up and then it is Katie bar the door as everything begins to work (could also work in reverse ... running works and that leads to passing crush plays).

Believe Wabash has too many O weapons for the Dannies D to cope.

Believe the score will be 30s to 40s to maybe 7.  (Hope for another skunk ... more 47-0 esk  T-shirts)
I want the Wabash seniors to play a lot.

Yeah, I guess Pat got his panties in a bunch because I made an off-color joke and whipped out the lock.  Look Pat, if you are upset with a joke that I made, then feel free to ban me.  Don't lock the thread for everyone else.  They didn't do anything, and someone has to listen to Breck's insipid ramblings.

The Monon thread has traditionally been about slinging meaningless insults back and forth to blow off some steam.  They call us gay, and we call them homophobes.  So now, I suppose because of headlines, the pretty tame joke I made was amplified and a whole lot of people got upset, and seem to have made a big deal out a stupid joke.

So I'll gladly take one for the team and voluntarily get banned from your site.  Even if you don't ban me, I'm not ever going to post here again, so you might as well exercise that power you seem to prize.  Honestly, I have precious little desire to post here anymore.  I was looking for the usual stupid back and forth that we perpetrate every November, but apparently that's not acceptable anymore.  I'll go away to where empty jokes aren't taken so seriously.

You get +k from me for telling it like it is. Civility is one thing but the politically correct culture on the board has gotten to the point of being boring IMO.

As Wally Wabash and myself discovered, just don't venture over to the NCAC Roundball site  with candid opinion... double figures aren't just logged in the box score.  LMAO.

Happy Monon Bell Morning from the opposite side of the ponds, All (yes, even Wes, D3DPU, and "Joe" if he lurks post son's graduation from the DPU secondary). Two warthog shoulders already on the smoker, gemsbok and kudu loins marinating, grouse and guinea peri-peri potjke ready for fire pit in another hour, and Castle Milk Stout and Camelthorne Bock chilling down.  Scarlet has replaced traditional "Old Glory" and "Cross of St Andrew" over the braai shed, grabbing wisps of morning's Kalahari breeze.

Regrettably, have found no Dannies (my favorite anthro prof/sex doc from Greendingle at Emory/CDC for conference) in immediate vicinity to attend, but representatives from UAA, SCAC, and both Amherst and Williams are so it'll be rivalry radio broadcasts on dueling laptops at an Afrikaan version of Bell Tailgate - alas, no HD Net.

Here's to today's game at Blacksnot being clean and safe for participants and attendees, the Putnam stockade remains vacant, and gendarme sjamboks unused.  Internet service is a bit sporadic, so little time spent digesting the Monon Bell thread, but here's a special shout-out to my three favorite, "Debauch" entertainers - "Breck Girl Bore," "Dingy Buoy," and their newest toadie, "DPU Irksome" - May your creased khakis be despoiled by halftime!   ;D ;)   Cheers!

Dankie, BashBro.  An all-nighter in the making, eh?  Same spousal looks here when stoking the smoker at 0300 (GMT+2).   Impressive, particularly when followed up with flyflingin'.  One of these days...

I can never sleep on Monon Bell Eve. And looking at how much Scotch I drank tonight I'm shocked I can still type. I love this rivalry. Win or lose it is the best. Here is to another great game tomorrow. Wabash Always Fights!

Good morning, gentlemen. Merry Christmas to all.

+k for the brilliant and brief profundity - hope you at least get to watch or listen, Wes!

Meanwhile, back in the lapa, I've a bunch of pissed up guests piggin' out on "bird stew," "pulled pork - of sorts, it is warthog so close enough," and some bloody succulent oryx and kudu filets.  The Amherst representative has suggested a dram for each TD scored against the Tigers and Ephs.  I fear the Scots Whisky collection could take a serious beating - come on Kickoff and let there be radio and decent bandwidth, ple-e-e-e-ease.  ;D
