I can never sleep on Monon Bell Eve. And looking at how much Scotch I drank tonight I'm shocked I can still type. I love this rivalry. Win or lose it is the best. Here is to another great game tomorrow. Wabash Always Fights!

End of two quarters, Amherst 31 and Williams 12. Wabash 31 and Dannies 0.
May be incapable of posting after halftime  ::)

Obviously, I'm pretty disappointed. You have to score it to win it and DePauw hasn't done that. I do want to point out this game would be 10-0 instead of 31-0 if DePauw hadn't turned it over. That said, 10-0 is still a loss just the same as any other.

Congrats to 'Bash on capping a fine season.

Congrats to Denison for capping a surprisingly-decent season.

Congrats to OBERLIN for breaking through and knocking off Allegheny!

Sour grapes to Allegheny for dropping a game to undermanned Oberlin to finish 5-5...WTF?
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

One heck of a defensive effort by both teams in Greencastle - I hope the LGs get the offensive kinks worked out, though it does sound like the wind was pretty ferocious for any air assaults.

WAF, and a three-peat regardless.

Dannies got their brains beat in.  10-0 ,,, give me a break.  This game is a good recruiting film for Trine an Franklin to poach players who might have, for some misguided reason, have signed onto Dannieland.

I see the score next year being the same as the last two years.  Go Wabash.

By the way ...did you all see tyhe empty stands in the endzone.  Dannies cut off Wabash tickets ... and no one in Dannilant wanted to come and see the disaster which was to befall them.  Kind of sad but very danny ... we would have filled them ... they could have made money at their $5 parking and  other over inflated prices.  So DePauw.

We Have The BELL.  I think the Dannies would have ranked below Woo this ear.  Come on OWU ... ripe for the feeding.

Our offense, defense and special teams EACH outscored Depauw today. Three straight victories by a combined score of 124-26. And now your first losing season since 1995. My question to you, Depauw, is HOW DOES IT FEEL?

It started with 47-0 and the rainstorm continues to 45-7 .... Oh Yeah

Honestly, it was a game lost on mistakes. 2 pick sixes, a fumble deep in their own end, a fumble on their own goal line, and they kicked it to Chamblee. Yes, kicking it to him is a mistake. Don't do this those things and you're in the game late. DePauw made mistakes all year and it killed them. It turned today into an embarassment.

Belton was a shadow of himself. DePauw contained Vann Hunt well except for the one TD run after the turnover. DePauw's D answered the call. Nobody else did, though.

92-7 the past two years + superior football facilities  -    Has to help recruiting a bit....

(I will say that the Tiger Defense showed up and played well today.)

DPU's defense did stand pretty tall. The offense, well...Miracle Max came in and didn't have any secret pill.

Congrats to the seniors this year in the NCAC. Nine schools worth ended their careers today.

Wittenberg's score indicated they were pretty angry today. Any thoughts from that crowd?

I'll also say that Wabash's gameplan was very vanilla, and probably justifiably so. If I watched DePauw on film, I'd think that as long as my offense didn't give the game away, we'd win. That's what happened. I thought if Wabash got to double digits, they'd probably win. Offense got them to 10 after the fumble,  then they didn't need anything else. They knew it was going to be real hard for DePauw after that.

EDIT: That's a compliment, not criticism. LG coaching staff realizes they can be conservative and give themselves the best chance to win.

They also went to their bench pretty early. Once the Bell was secure, they worried about next week, and the next week, etc.
