Very, very good.
Go Wabash!!!!!!!!!
Really wish I could be the game.  Am sure that NCAC nation will be rooting you on.

Tons of great stuff this week.  It sounds like everybody is really fired up for this game...and why shouldn't they be?  It's a big game for everybody.  I've got no predictions...I have no idea who's going to win.  Here's what I do think I know about tomorrow.

- It's game #12 for both of these teams.  You don't get to game #12 and be this highly ranked if you haven't figured out what works for you.  I don't expect either side to get too far away from what they know works for them.  I don't expect North Central to throw 40 times.  I don't expect Wabash to start snapping directly to Chamblee or have Hunt throw passes to Belton.  Both of these teams knows what works, they have confidence in what has worked all year, and they will both live or die on those formulas.

- I don't think the wind is going affect offenses directly all that much.  It will affect punts and field position.  Winning those quarters where you have the wind at your back is going to be important.  If you'll recall, DePauw hung a short punt up in the wind, DePauw's coverage overran the kick and Chamblee took it back untouched for a score.  That's the kind of thing that can happen when the wind howls at Hollett.  Any score from an offense going into that wind may well be the difference.

- I was surprised at the point totals predicted in Triple Take.  I think we'll get more of a grinder tomorrow.  I think 21 points wins...for either side.

2. Win the 2nd and 3rd quarters. NCC was tied 7-7 last week at the end of the first, only to go all Purple Warhawk in the following three quarters. For Wabash, I think they've got to keep the first quarter close (say, within 7), win the second and third periods, and then hang on for dear life in the fourth.

It feels to me like Wabash will ahve a chance to win this game late. Either they make a play to win or they won't make it and lose.

I really hope these two sentiments are a little off the mark.  These statements are a little too David vs. Goliath for me.  If Wabash is hoping to just hang in there and either pull a scoring drive out of the bag at the end or not succumb to an inevitable late game onslaught, then we're on borrowed time in this tournament anyway.  I'm going into this game tomorrow believing that Wabash can line up, play their brand of football against a team of North Central's caliber and just be better.  Not fluky better.  Just better.  Maybe it happens like that tomorrow and maybe it doesn't.  I'm believin' though.

Looking forward to watching this all play out tomorrow.  Wabash Always Fights!

Regrettably, Cave dons the penguin outfit for command performance at Marine Ball tonight thus denied access to twitters and internet this evening - damn time zones.

Hopes for a clean, safe game and prognosticators, soothsayers, and experts are off-base with predictions of a total blow-out.  One certainty - a team in red (or red trim) will win in Hollett.  ;)  Look forward to perusing everyones' post-game observations on the NCAC and CCIW boards.

Rain looks to be delayed so it should be dry in C-ville.  Wind similar to last week.  Multiple texts from buddies already on the road for Hollett!

Good luck to Bash!!!  Make it count!!

Good quote.  However, please forgive me...who/was Bud Fox?  I must be stupid because I don't know (or have forgotten...you know, that "old age" thing. ;D :o ;)).

Bud Fox was the character in "Wall Street" played by Charlie Sheen.

Thanks.  No wonder; I didn't watch "Wall Street" and I avoid shows and movies that Charlie Sheen plays in because I can't stand that guy. :P ;)  He is not only very mis-guided (unfortunately, much like his father in many aspects, although the latter is a much better actor) but in need of some help.  But at least that is a good quote (even it were written by his screenwriters and I doubt original to him! :o ::) :)).

Indeed, this will be a test for Wabash today.  Nothing against North Central, but it would be a very good win for Wabash.

So true.  Those guys led the charge and set the tone for the program to be consistently great.

I've got the stream up...I'm going a little nuts not being able to be there.  Looks like a tremendous November afternoon for some playoff football.  Make it count, Wabash!

I wish I had been a student for those Knott/Boulais years. Graduated just a couple of years too soon.
