Will Raeburn's familiarity with Mount help at all?

Simple answer:
Yes.   Coaches form personalities and tendencies that even the best, don't always realize.   The fact that ER not only played for him and then coached under him could be very helpful.   Now, LK, knows this as well and will mix a few things up and or has maybe changed a bit since ER left Mount Union.    Now, one must be careful to not over compensate the game plan from this knowledge, it could have an opposite effect.

I think he having played linebacker under LK for a few years, may be the quiet benefit on Saturday.   After seeing what NC did (or didn't do) as far as blitz packages,  one could assume that a priority for Mount Union is to not let our QB sit back in the pocket very long.  (Last week showed this wasn't the greatest strategy) Thus, understanding LK's basic philosophy toward pressuring the QB could be of assistance.

Interesting dynamic to say the least.

When Raeburn played and coached for Mount Union the DC was Don Montgomery (current Head Coach at Emory & Henry) and they played a base 4-4 defense.  At that time Monty ran the D and Kehres ran the O.  Now the Raiders play more of a 4-2-5 or sometimes 3-3-5 Defense with Vince Kehres (Larry's Son, Eric's Cousin) as the DC so I don't know if Raeburn's time at Mount will assist much in that area.   Offensive and Defensive schemes have changed so much since Raeburn was at Mount Union (much more spread now a days and faster smaller LBs and DBs) that familiarity probably won't play as much a role as one might think.

Kehres and Raeburn's time coaching Team USA this summer, along with their regular/weekly talks during the season may have more of an affect on philosophies than working together in the 90s.

From yesterday's Journal Review:
"It gets nothing but harder," said wide receiver Jonathan Horn. "We've been wanting to get a shot at Mt. Union for years."

They know we are coming, and will make sure to accomodate our group.  If they can't fit us all in the dining room (and they will push tables together), they have some big tables in the back where the pool tables are.  I made this decision based upon everyone's description of the size (or lack thereof) of Tailgaters.

8 PM.....be there if you can make it.

Wear your gear to be easily identified.

Now at least I know what happened to Chase.
Hope he is full strength, but Burke will do just fine. Sprained knee is tough when you rely on your running abilities as much as your passing.
Am sure Wabash will be ready.

Did Wabash win?  Probably.  Did Wabash fight?  Always.

A couple of really good articles; the first is on the two back-up QBs for Wabash and Mount, the second is on the game this weekend.

Like Nike said, at least we now know what happened to Chase, although the term "sprained knee" is kind of vague.

It is better than what they say in hockey: "Upper body injury" or "Lower body injury".

Some will just be grateful if WNDY gets their signal to work, unlike the last time when forced to listen to the DePauw audio link or staring at silent livestats -  :o

Let's see if there are any marketing majors here:

Put your product on broadcast tv in a major media market on a station carried by Dish networks all over the country with a revered Hall of Fame announcer with your own professional advertising

or

Make a bunch of people in Podunk Indiana happy.

Well, the people clamoring for the web feed aren't in Indiana. So brush up on that before you post. If we WERE in Indiana, we'd BE there!

Ohio is plenty podunk. I have had plenty of opportunities to drive the Buckeye state.

You haven't seen the Wabash broadcasts, so you have no frame of reference or comparison.

Plenty of professional "Hall of Fame" announcers are raving, drooling, lunatics. I know Joe Tait isn't one, but it's not because he's a 'pro'.

And many people don't have Dish or DirecTV, for many reasons, and if they do, they may NOT want to subscribe to the tier that has the regional sports networks because, you know, if they live in Florida, why the HELL would they care about Ohio sports?

oooooooo... the big old bad old Mount Posters are hitting my Karma.... ouch... it hurts so much........ Get a friggin webstream and quit being pre-madonna's.....  UWW is the King right now in D3, you're just not there anymore....

Come talk to me after you get beat this weekend.  Your Mount team is not ALL that this year, and you know it.   Very good still and it will most likely be a great game, but Not ALL that...anymore

Keep hitting my Karma.... not going to stop what is going to happen on your home field in 2 days.

This post brought to you by:  Jack Daniels...

Bashbrother, it is "prima donna" not "pre-madonna".  Prima Donna is italian for "First Lady."  But since their aren't any females at Wabash, you may not be familiar with members of the opposite sex.

I guess the NCAC education is more prestigious than the below-average degree I received from the OAC.
