You can't share?
If you can't, are you happy with the finalists?

I think Roger Ingles (AD) and the football group have done an outstanding job through the process. The final set of candidates were strong...and yes, nike...I'm happy. But, not totally
"happy" until OWU is the conference champ and in the playoffs.

I have an idea, but I've gone out of my way to leave those folks alone this year.  Pretty petty stuff when people actively seek me out to ding me when I've been quiet entirely here for a month and away from their domain for 10 months.  Whatever...I'm not losing sleep over it.

What's that you say, Herm?

Put your name on it, indeed.

lol.  Can't believe that they are STILL going after you.  wally, your karma is dropping faster than the stock market.
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

At one point Wally and I had the same karma, in the 100s. Since the Wabash/NCC game I've been dropping but not like Wally. Pretty weak.

Had a peak of about 135 right after football season. And I'll admit, I'm not a shrinking violet, but man...this unfettered sniping almost renders that feature even more meaningless.

I am surprised...Watts is young (32?) and has no head coaching (I thought the school was looking for that)....But, I understand, that as BW's recruiting coordinator, he was very good. With that in mind; the Bishops will finally be in the Cleveland area big-time. Coach Watts has spent his time on the defensive side of the ball, and with Pat Delaney running the "D" for 18 yrs, this should be interesting.....we need a top-shelf "O" man to get us going. This was (is) a critical time in Bishop football history...I think where the program has been and don't ever want to look back...we have a guy who has energy, has been around the game all his life, has done some solid work....and, hey, he has the Indiana connection in Hanover. Now he has to build his staff & get some recruits.

I think getting a great recruiter in there had to be priority #1.  I don't really care how good of an X & O guy you bring in, that school has a talent void that needs to be filled if they want to be north of .500 in this conference.

I wonder how big of a factor they can be in Indiana.  There's just not a ton of talent here to go around between Wabash, DePauw, Franklin, Trine, and the like.  You probably don't get a ton of those top tier players right away anyway. Now you're trying to recruit against the mediocre/bad teams like Anderson, Hanover, and Rose-Hulman.  I just wonder if that's even worth your while.  Ohio is where the gold is.

I agree Wes, Ohio is very key. And with 4 schools within a 45 minute drive to Selby...the landscape is competitive. Phone calls have already been made to Cleveland area high schools,
focus & energy have been green-lighted. The prep-kid from NY/NJ/Conn/Mass may have to take a backseat for a while. Regarding "Hoosiers", I think after a couple of wins over the LG's & Tigers, we can grab a Carmel/Ben Davis/Cathedral kid...but that might have to wait for a season or two.

Looked at the bio of the young man that Kenyon hired.  Very impressive.
Will be interesting to watch and see the two programs being successsfully rebuilt, which I hope they both are.
Certainly Kenyon has a farther way to go back to respectability--I am talking only on the football field, of course.
The new Kenyon coach does have a pretty good looking resume, as does Mr. Hart.  Neither one has head coaching experience, so they can each make their mark at the two schools.
