No Sunday morning truce in Greencastle, apparently.  Omar does not approve.

Can Slim Charles coach?

I hope not.  That team would be fierce.  He can do play by play though...that would be sweet.

Well, I think we can all agree that this has distracted Wes from posting the North Region Fan Poll. That or some idiot, like me, putting CMU in the North instead of the South. You know, Pittsburgh, that Southern Belle of a city.

As we mentioned on the board, it's an excusable mistake given that CMU's schedule this season (and for the last few) has included mostly North Region teams.  Incidentally, when CMU starts their alliance with the PAC, they'll play against "South Region" teams located several hours north of Pittsburgh - Grove City, Westminster - plus a few others that are within spitting distance of Pittsburgh (W & J, Waynesburg, Saint Vincent).  Very Southern, indeed.

I do understand the reasoning for the odd regional setup in Division III, I'm not complaining, it's just funny.

Finally (apologies for Uncle Rico-ness again) I remember being quite amused at our "South Region"  (yes, I know that technically they don't name regions for the playoff brackets) playoff game in 2006: CMU (Pittsburgh, PA) at Wesley (Dover, DE).
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

Game day tomorrow. Besides our respective schools, I'm sure peeled eyes will be trained towards Pittsburgh to see how the New Tigers come together. And let's hope that we only get game previews and summaries from the offices in Greencastle, for their sake.

Check out these numbers for the Depauw game notes comparing DPU to CMU.  For a team that is traditionally known for its running game, CMU is currently leading DIII in Team Passing Efficiency.  The DPU numbers look horrid and may be worse by tomorrow afternoon.

My apologies if this has been addressed on this thread earlier, but could someone tell me why the Allegheny-Wooster game isn't a league game? Last I saw they were both in the NCAC.

BashBacker#16

ER is 41-7 at Wabash.  He's 25-2 in NCAC games.  Chase is 21-1 as a starter.  Those are pretty sick numbers.

When Earlham bolted the NCAC, it left league schedules in a hugger-mugger since it wasn't a round robin. So some scheduled games had to become 'non-conference' to give everyone an even slate of conference games, which was compounded by the NCAC / UAA agreement.

They were destroyed by CMU who is destroying us (DePauw), 27-0.  317 yards of offense and it's not even halftime.
