Wooster in dire straits early in the season.  Lets see how this plays out.  Have not seen where Barnes is hurt, so here we go again.
Someone mentioned CP Porter last week.  Why was he gone for what, a couple years?  Was he still in school?
Anyway, great to hear his name and see him on stream and most importantly, back in a great school headed towards a degree.
Asked wife if we could cancel planned weekend  getaway and check out Witt-Wabash.   She laughed.  Really would like to see Belton one more time in person, especially in a big, big game.  Maybe the NCAC championship pretty early on.
Witt is a lot closer than Crawfordsville, but may have no choice.

CP Porter left Wabash after his freshman year.  Not academics.  Returned second semester last year and joined the wrestling team.

Thanks so much.  Great to hear and the best to him!

nike, bank a favor or three and go to the game in Springfield.  This one is big time.

Working on it.  Going to be hard, though.  Already paid for.
Must admit I love Witt's stadium.  Wonderful place to watch a game.
There are only one or two games every year like this in the NCAC and this one will be special.  Very special.
Thank goodness for wireless technology!

Detour from the Witt/Wabash discussion:  The Wabash / DePauw tickets are on sale.  $15 per.  See Wabash sports website and follow the yellow brick road.  Suggest you purchase two tickets per person ... that way the tailgate which started Friday behind Hollett Stadium and which you left on Saturday at 1 PM to enter the stadium to catch the first half can be exited for a little halftime refresher and then ... back into the stadium for the second half.  94-7 ..... can the Little Giants break the 50+ point spread this year?

After seeing some of the replacement refs I think we're in better shape with NCAC officials, even in terms of spotting the ball after infractions. Man, I thought I'd never say that.... ;)

Ex-Tartan,

Good stuff thanks.  Any comments or feedback related to the atmosphere, the crowd, etc.?  Just curious what they thought on that...

Also, like a few have asked, if you get any news on the injured player, we would appreciate the update.  Hoping he's ok and on his way back.

WITT WEEK!  One of the best weeks of the year.   Here's to a focused week of practice,  building a great game plan and to our dinged players getting healthy.  These two teams know everything about one another....a tremendous amount of mental calories expended every year by coaching staff and players on this one.  It has turned into a true gem for both schools and Div III Football.

WAF!
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Sorry, wabco, but I have to disagree about 2 tickets per person for the Bell Game.  Buying two might very well deprive people who want to see the game of even one ticket.  For those on the outside, Bell tickets are limited.  Also, there are "Wabash tickets" and "DePauw tickets."  Wabash's are dominantly red, and DPU's dominantly gold.  Ticket holders have to enter at only the Wabash gate (red ticket) or DePauw gate (gold ticket).  There is no readmission once a fan has left the stadium, even if s/he can show the original ticket.  Buying two per person so you can leave at halftime, or anytime, and then re-enter, well, . . .One can. after all, visit one of the portajohns inside, but I know that's not what you are suggesting.

Witt week would be even better here if we had some Witt fans posting....

It was mentioned on the Wooster broadcast that Barnes was hurt and that's why Frongilio was in the game.

It's "Wabash Week" for Wittenberg. Rivarlies are one of the great things about college
football, and this has turned into one of the best in Division III. From a broadcaster's
standpoint, this was one of the games where you had your spot charts done as early
in the week as possible, and looked forward to being around practice during the
week. I have many great memories about broadcasting Wittenberg football,
and the games with Wabash stand out among them. Wish I could make it
to Springfield Saturday, but I'll have Leo on the web-cast. Let's hope it's
a great game, and more importantly, another Witt win...Tiger Up!
