The question was what teams went 4-0, so I stuck with that.  Even Wabash's program sold at the game today said that this would be the 10th group of Seniors to accomplish this with a win today.

Last 4 years - Wabash 147, DePauw 26

Without researching further, I would guess that we won't find that differential in any other 4 year period in the history of the series.

And you call yourself an accountant  ;)

32+47+45+23=147

I was apparently incorrect about the differential, however.  The group from 1950-1954 must have been SOME LITTLE GIANTS!

That's what I was pokin' you about. Don't accountants do research? Heh...

No, it was 45-7 last year. That's why everyone's posting 92-7 on the boards!

LOL - McDougall is relieved his FG still counts.

This year's program has 42-7 but it probably was 45-7 because I just looked at the scoreboard picture from last year's calendar and the scoreboard from 2010 had 45.9 seconds left I had a feeling that would be the final score for 2011.

The official story on Wabash's website makes the correct call, 147-26!   ;)

Obviously disappointed. Felt like DePauw's offense showed flashes in the first half. But then they'd be unable to complete a bubble screen and shoot themselves in the foot. It's a work in progress with a freshman QB. Offense was good in a few small spurts, but it never resulted in points.

Defensively, I thought DePauw just wore down. They were on the field a lot. I saw a few complaints here the past few weeks about Wabash not running enough zone read. Shouldn't be any of that after today. Wabash showed a few different read option plays today and they executed them well. Belton was darn good today. He earned it.

Watched the bell game at a telecast party so I couldn't get a real sense of it- but boy there seemed to be a lot of penalties. Were the refs a little flag happy? The intentional grounding call on belton after it looked like he had been flushed out of the pocket seemed especially ridiculous.

Gotta get the ball past the LoS.

aueagle, bishop, bishopleft and all OWU posters:

Congratulations on a great season for OWU and the co-championship-wow, what a turn around.  You had some great crowd attendance at Selby this year also, and I'm sure it was neat to finally see that, although, of course, winning helps I guess! ::) ;D :D ;)

Thanks DB for the kind sentiments.  It was fun following the Bishops this year.

Now for the $64,000 question:  do the Bishops get a Pool C bid?

Gotta tune it at 6:00 p.m. EST tomorrow to find out!  I'm saying yes they do.  I'm also not an expert, so take that with a grain of salt.   :)

This is probably as good a time as any to congratulate our league champions Ohio Wesleyan and Wittenberg.  These teams put together very good seasons and have earned their hardware today and then whatever comes in the postseason.

You are welcome!  Also, yes, I hope they do get a bid.  I'll be joining all of you and the others in watching the announcement of the field tomorrow evening.
