so which was the best if any of the big ones in the conference yesterday? I myself was sitting and watching one the the best games I have ever seen and certainly one of the most amazing finishes at the big house. Go Bishops , hope you get the playoff spot.

Great season NCAC teams. This is my first year following the conference. Initially, I am very impressed with the amount of respect on this board that posters have for other schools. Although I was confused about the DIII playoff selection process and even more confused by the NCAC tiebreaker, I used this board to find answers or to ensure that I wasn't the only one that was perplexed. I sent an email directly to the NCAC and received an immediate response, but that did little to clarify the process.

I would also like to thank the fans of the NCAC schools that I have had the pleasure of seeing at games this year. Unlike traveling to away DI games, the DIII experience makes me feel proud that I sent my son to the right environment for learning and competing while in college.

Good luck to all NCAC teams in future seasons and I'm glad that if there are any tiebreakers from this point forward, the process will be will not be as complex as this year.

Welcome to the board. Good luck to the old Tigers in the playoffs. Next year Witt and OWU will renew the battle for the ye olde skull.

His wife still is. Everything you said is true.
The fact that higher ups are not obsessed with winning and wife's position are why I say he is "in like Flint" and will not be forced out by the college.
Now alumni might be a different story if they flex their muscles as they look around the league.
The new rec center on campus is awesome.
Even the weights are in black and gold and the athletes have their own work out room with great great equipment.
Really hope the Bishops get in.

How long did it take OWU to change coaches? Do you think it'll take that long at Wooster?

Me too, The_Bishop...but, it was an outside shot....
The future of OWU football has changed....

Sad day for the Bishops :( thught we had a great chance to get into the tournament. Unfortunately we werent selected. I feel so happy and so sad for the Bishop seniors. They overcame alot and have nothing to be ashamed of. They made so many people proud that has ever played for OWU. I know these seniors wont be happy with not getting in but i guess thats life...

Tough break for OWU. The weakness of the NCAC's bottom half and the UAA's blandness this year hurt them, big time.

Looking at this bracket, I am very thankful that Denison helped Witt out yesterday. I'm not sure we make it as an "at large" pick. OWU deserved a spot.

Also, Adrian receiving a home game and Witt traveling is a surprise.

Interesting matchup in Round 1 with Witt at HBerg.   IMHO, that game is a toss up.

HBerg is really talented, but they're crazy young.  Offense is almost all sophomores.  Not sure what you'll get from them as they make their first EVER trip to the playoffs.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I can't believe a 9-1 team with the #1 ranked QB in all D3 football will not be playing in the playoffs... something is wrong here.  OWU had one bad game.  And a great season.

Yes, Witt's SOS was a god-awful 220. Wow.

Blame the rest of the NCAC and the UAA for holding down the SOS of OWU, and blame the NCAC football coaches from a few seasons ago for the tiebreaker. Next year, everyone will be head-to-head so Witt and OWU will have to play each other.

Frankly, I think OWU wasn't as good as Concordia - Moorhead, who was left on the table. Probably not as good as Willamette. Maybe even with Lycoming. The one-loss teams on the board had pretty weak SOS and no wins against RR opponents.

Yeah, but 148 teams played better schedules ... Only in Division III would OWU even have been in the conversation for the playoffs, I think.
