Any news on the Dehnke injury?  That could be a big factor.  Hopefully he can go.

We can agree to disagree.  One piece that would've been interesting is a Witt/OWU matchup.  I'm not sure Witt wins that one.  That would give us a bit more to analyze.

Good luck to Witt next week!

Quote from: ExTartanPlayer on November 17, 2012, 08:56:19 PMWittenberg's body of work (even before the playoff win) is quite a bit better looking than Wabash's body of work.  They didn't lose to a 5-5 team and a 4-6 team at home.

I agree with this. Witt's lone loss was a 3 point game at home to an 8-2 team that was also 5-0 on the road. Wabash lost at home to two teams that were a combined 9-11.

Add in a road win in the playoffs against the OAC's runner-up and I'd say Witt is (a) the best team in the NCAC in 2012 and (b) a pretty darn good football team overall.

Witt definitely has a chance against Hobart if they play like they did in the last two quarters against Heidelberg. It's going to be a game. Wabash fans definitely know the feeling of being an undefeated team from an unregarded conference.

I agree with this too. I'm a disappointed I won't be able to watch this game.

But arguing is much more fun!

I do agree that Witt vs OWU would be an interesting piece of info.  I believe Witt would win, they handled most of their common opponents with OWU much more easily than the Bishops, but I know that's hardly a guarantee of anything.
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

Tiger-Up.....Keep rollin' Witt!!!!!

I think sometimes in sports, especially perhaps in football, seemingly inexplicable results against common opponents can sometimes be explained by a comparison to rock, paper, scissors. If a team is really good at defending against a particular type of offense it doesn't guarantee success against another team that may have done poorly against the team you dominated.

Well done, Witt.  Good luck against the Brickies.

Same here.  Witt and Franklin proved the seeding process is a crapshoot.

Any Witt fans out there pls ping me w/ a PM to provide a breakdown of your team (other than what can be gleaned from the stats page).  We usually preview Hobart's games on Thursdays and would appreciate some "insider knowledge" on the Tigers.

Thanks!

You may want to reach out to Witt's radio providers and / or SID. The Witt posters here are well hidden, though one or two has come to life recently!

The NCAA has posted a really neat article and video feature on the 119th Monon Bell Classic:

I especially like the quote from Pete Metzelaars, comparing the Bell game to the Super Bowl (did he play in four of each of them?).

Good luck to Witt this weekend.  Represent!
Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash
