Who would like to tackle Tyler Holmes 15+ times a game?  I just looked at the size of our (3) deep running backs... (225, 208, 221) As a former middle linebacker,  tackling big backs that have speed gets old quickly.

So I'm interested to see if there is any exhale from Wabash this weekend or if they are just going to bludgeon people like they did last weekend.  Was last weekend the product of 10 months of pent up frustration or is that going to be 2013 Wabash football?  We'll see.

Just as interesting and important, does Jack Hatem have the best hair in the league?  That dude brings it.

How sweet is the new gear?  Those sleeves are awesome.

Interesting nugget in Allegheny's game notes:

Freshman Tyler Mclaughlin, who has not played this season, is at the top of Allegheny's depth chart at QB.  Phil Nigro, who has started the first two games, does not appear.  I don't know if this is an injury situation or if Matlak is shaking things up because, well, things need shaking up.

Also, next week's game vs. Wabash is getting the ESPN 3 treatment.  So that should be fun.

And that is your Gator Minuteā„¢.

After scoring only one TD in each of their first two games, the Gators are obviously trying to find a better combination (that is, if the Game Notes line up is the way the game starts and no particular reason to think that it won't be, and if Nigro isn't injured).  So far, they are under 50% passing on the season.  Starting a freshman QB is almost always a heart-in-throat decision.   Nigro was an outstanding, if undersized, high school QB, so he is a good example of how hard the transition is for many players.  This ain't two-hand touch, flag, or intramural football, guys.  And it doesn't look like Allegheny has a steller supporting cast around any QB they play, at least from early results.
I suppose Hiram is as good a moment as any to try out a new signal caller.  Whatever they do on offense with Partridge, if he indeed plays this week, the new Gator guy gets to see a defense that has been traditionally porous, though not so much so far this year.

I am looking forward to OWU v. Kenyon.
Kenyon has got to be angry that they lost to Earlham last week.
They will come out strong, but what happens if things go wrong? Will it snowball? or will they continue to fight.
I do not think the Lords will be able to stop OWU's offense. Hopefully OWU stays more balanced. Well balanced is probably not the right word, but at least they were able to run some against Bluffton.

I wont be able to watch the beginning, I will be on campus watching Fall Baseball.

Go Bishops.

Gonna start with the Tiger on Tiger action in Greencastle today. Let's see if this is as bad as we think it's gonna be.

Depauw's new rug looks pretty cool..... too bad they are not able to stop Witt on it.

Witt 17
Depauw 0

2nd - Depauw finally got a drive going and threw a horrible pick on Witt's 2 yard line.....  Bad

Hiram 10  -  Announcement.... Hiram is playing inspired, tough football this year.
Gheny  0 - Announcement -  Gheny is not a good football team right now.

Depauw's defense is giving about as much resistance to Witt as a wet paper towel. This is gonna be a long day for the Indiana Tigres.

Switched to the Wooster game just in time to hear that there was apparently an ejection on the new targeting rule. I do not know who it was or which team lost their player.

Woo misses short FG attempt and Oberlin drives the field. Nice pass by the Yeomen - 14-7, Obies.

Depauw has changed quarterbacks down 17-0.

Kenyon up on OWU 6-3, early in the 2nd.  Only getting live stats on the OWU website so will check to see if I can get a live stream on KC's site.
