Old article on Mason Zurek after his senior year at Andrean.  This was before he committed to Wabash.  Good stuff:  http://www.nwitimes.com/sports/high-school/football/andrean-s-zurek-wrote-quite-a-story-this-fall-for/article_c54d6b56-7c68-5bc8-b412-6ee010bd1d82.html

Wally - I had not thought of Holmes AND Zurek next year.  Wow.  Also, how cool is it that Bash is more of a running team than passing?  I say that because it's much better for deep playoff runs and I remember ER making a point to become more balanced.  I'd say that's happened.

Zurek wrote for the high school paper? He would certainly not be the first member of the football team to write for the Bachelor. Need to sign him up.

Listening to the ATN podcast...they just played the "can you name all of the coaches at DePauw since Nick Morouzis" game.  I laughed out loud at my desk.  Tremendous stuff.

Don't forget to put Anthony Stella in with Zurek and Holmes.  Can we create the two pack or three pack "Pistol"?

Maybe Lynch can get Robby Long back as recruiter in chief.  Where o where is Robby when you need him?

Glad you enjoyed it. I was truly stumped on Tim Rogers -- I knew there was another one-and-out guy but I would never have come up with that name if we hadn't archived them all on team pages.

I think that would be considered a "Weapon of Mass Production" and may fall under The Department of Offense or Homefield Security Administration.   ;)

Scola named NCAC defensive player of the week and Zurek selected for D3 team of the week. That makes 3 players from Wabash receiving potw honors this year with Woods being named potw for his efforts in the Dennison game. Great job gentlemen!!!!!

firstdown

Congrats to Nate Scola and Mason Zurek!  Great job on Saturday and  well deserved honors.  They
are both some Little Giants!!

Wow Espinosa is looking good, but hey we all knew that already!! Youtube suggested that I watch the Denison/OWU highlights, so I willingly obliged. After watching what the Denison O did to the OWU D I am looking forward to seeing Zurek and Putko do this weekend.

That was the part that really got me laughing: the "eureka!" moment when you remembered Tim Rogers.

Also some bonus funny if you make it all the way to the end.  Ah, the advantages of being Executive Editor.
