Start of 4th Quarter

Witt ball at midfield.  Inadvertent whistle costs Witt a 47 yard TD  :P

Florence to Cunningham for a 9 yard touchdown, and for the first time today Witt has  a two score lead.

Brandon Sklenar is having another big day for the Big Red, as Denison moves the ball down to the Witt 35 yard line.  But then Sklenar gets blown up on 4th down at the Witt 35, with under 8:00 left in the game.

44 yard pass has Witt once again in the Big Red red zone.  Florence takes it in from the 1  with under 5:00 to go.  Looks like the Tigers will pull out a Homecoming win this year (unlike last year  :P)

It's pretty close right now...we're one more Stella breakout away from a cover here.

Wow, Buresh with another sack of Espinosa --- 4-1/2 sacks today ties the college record.

Funny how I can feel nervous in the 4th with a 38-13 lead! Espinosa looked pretty good today, except when he was getting sacked. I would not want to be a little giant rb, you can get 200+ yard games, but you better watch out for the injury bug...
What I lack in size, I make up for with my lack of speed.

The sheer size of the LG O-line versus OWU was scary....
The "pounding" at times showed the separation of the two programs....
Gotta give-it to the Red & Black for staying in the game and having shots...
Espo got tested by a outstanding defense...
Coach Watts will add much needed depth to the program and we need lineman "size"...
The Bishops went into hostile Byron P as a huge dog and can still stay in the hunt...

Finally got to a game today.  Random thoughts...

OWU put up a good fight.  Score could have been more lopsided had offense not gone into ultra-conservative mode in the 2nd half.  Too many personal foul penalties.  When Espinosa got rid of the ball quickly offense was effective.  When he held too long, major trouble.  LG special teams were really good today.  Stella is next man up - did a fine job.  Would have liked to have seen Walsh more in second half and run more plays than just Stella over and over again, but that's why I'm a fan and not a coach.  Sobleski and MacDougal may be the strongest kicking tandem I've seen at Wabash.  Great weapons to have.

I'm glad to see DePauw get on the right side of the ledger today.

I'm especially glad about the Coach Nick ceremony today.  A very fitting gesture for a great man. I'd bet you that the vast majority of DePauw grads who enter in to the football coaching field do so solely because of Nick Mourouzis. I think the fact that so many former captains came back for the ceremony shows you how much he means to everybody who played for him and coaching with him.

Nice game by Wabash today - too strong, too deep and just the better all-around team that continues to be the class of the league.  Would like to think OWU took another step up that mountain today to close the gap.

I like to think so as well. Next year OWU will have to find a replacement for Espinosa, Is that guy currently on the roster?

I think after today more people will realize how good Denison is this year. They did well against Witt today as well.

Kenyon is about to hit the meat grinder. I would not be surprised if they did not win another game this year.
