Great leadership... Way to go Wabash...

Obviously my U of Akron education is failing me.   Can someone much smarter than me put the above post into hillbilly English for me?

I believe it is already in hillbilly English (certainly, at least, in hillbilly spelling!).

I suspect jettssss is either a drunk-as-a-skunk freshman or a fat-fingered dude typing on a mobile device (or perhaps both).  And English appears to be not even his third language. ::)  (I'm sure the other Wabash fans are SO proud to have him rooting for the LGs! :P)

Not enough facepalms...

That's an insult to drunk freshman - He's probably a drunk Community College guy using the computer at the Public Library. I'm sure they already announced they are closing and he won't be back until tomorrow.

Withdraw, dude. The player you're representing--it's no real mystery--is done no service by this and is otherwise probably embarrassed as all hell. Just stop.

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Good luck Witt, get after it this Saturday.

Go Witt! Florence and company. Including a pretty darn good defense, will need to be on their game, but I would love to see the NCAC team deep in the tournament!

Going back to our hillbilly brethren on this board. I have a sneaking suspicion that he may be a father of a now ex-player, whoever you may be. Please, stop writing this stuff. Granted you have your opinion, but it's embarrassing to read and have your represent Wabash.

Oh, and thank you all for commenting on my thought. I wasn't arguing for it. It was just a thought.
I appreciate all of your insight.

Go NCAC!

If Witt is overrated then Wabash must be terrible to get beat by an overrated team.  Your #1 statically defense had trouble with the skinny unathletic QB from Witt. Hopefully Admin will do something about this poster it is getting a bit ridiculous.

Agreed.

Guys, don't take anything jetssss posts seriously.  No need to respond to idiocy/trolling with a serious reply.

Also very happy to be rooting for Witt this week. Florence is inching closer and closer to the single-occupancy tier of quarterback that Knott established a decade ago. For me, thats a compliment you can't improve and a comparison you better make only if you mean it. Which I do. I hope that dude goes nuts on Saturday.

I'm reposting this because it was meant to be a big 'ol thunderclap of hyperbole. Damned if I'm going to allow the one time in ten years where I've compared a conference QB to Jake Friggin Knott to be immediately drowned out by stupidity and it's policing.

Bringing this back to a serious conversation, then, let me pose a question as a relative newb to the NCAC scene:

Reed Florence has been amazing this year.  In your opinion, is it this single season that impresses you the most about Florence, or has he been especially impressive his entire career?  Obviously we expect all players to improve over their time in college but some are flat-out studs right from their first start while others grow and evolve and may be better at their "peak" than anyone else but do not quite match the overall body of work.  I still think those guys are worth highlighting but there is, or can be, a slight difference between "the guy who had the best career" versus "the guy who was best at his peak."  Any thoughts to offer?

Related to that, I'm a bit of a "legacy" guy, so let me pose this question: if Florence is to lead the Tigers to an upset over Mount and deep into the playoffs, does that vault him to the top of the NCAC quarterback pantheon, or change his place in the conversation?

It definitely solidifies himself in the Knott-sphere. I don't know about how good and deep and strong the QBs were pre-2000, but Florence would be as good as anyone post-2000.

I recall a couple years ago he was the 'change' QB they used - kind of like a Ross Weitoff-type. He's definitely more than that now.

As a result of multiple complaints, I've set jettssss' posts to be pre-moderated. I can't tell if he's the player or the player's dad/relative, but so you know, sir, this is not acceptable here.

First, it is very apparent that those who frequently post on this board have judged many teams by the stats and commentary not on what the actual players and teams represent.  Everyone can choose to support their teams and conference any way they want that is what a public message board is about, unfortunatly on this board if a poster doesn't agree with opinions of the majority or doesn't communicate them in perfect way then the immediate reaction is to remove them from this forum which is a very sad statement.

Next, there is no player representation here I love all of the Wabash players- regardless as to what Basha Dad may think.  The comments toward Witt has nothing to do with the players, it has to do with the disgusting representation that was displayed at the Wabash game.  As a fan in the stands where children were present to hear a coach from the Witt team in the box say F*** all of you to the Wabash grand stand after the first Witt touch down was DISGUSTING, not classy, not sportsman like!!  I realize most of you weren't there  but many of us were and this was heard loud and clear!!  So before you judge someone and think you know what they represent you may want to take off your rose colored glasses and realize there is more to the story.  Also, maybe it best to not degrade someone for their opinion try to understand it is very difficult to cheer for a team that acted in the way they did during that game - again if you weren't there you would not possibly understand.  So please know cheering for Mount is no disrespect to the conference but team respect is earned not just given.  No other team in the NCAC this season displayed that kind of blatent disrespect for the other team.  If you choose to not believe this go back and listen to that game and count how many apologies had to be made by the commentators regarding the backgroud "noise" and language that came from this particular group of team staff in the press box.

Hopefully, this spelling and grammer will meet the standards of those who control this board.  As others have said if you don't like the opinion of someone don't respond, don't acknowledge it - that's what many of us have had to do for years when reading the random comments and opinions on this board.

All of these guys work hard to represent their schools on the field and play outstanding football, congratulations to all of them!  Shame on all of you who are so quick to judge and crucify those you don't agree with or understand.
