Wabash with 6 sacks on Nance

DAMN.

As I'm sure BashDad will tell you (and I can too) hits/knockdowns/sacks take their toll on a QB.

That's an insane number for a 4 Quarter effort.

Not a good start for Kenyon. They lose to Marrietta 29-11.

Good Defense... beats Good Offense... early in the season.  (As Usee mentioned)

Wabash -  34
HSC 21

Wabash D is Legit.... Again.
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

This is bad news.  Etta was one vote from being the consensus last place team in the OAC coaches poll.  They're BAD.

Not much to say other than that was a great win. Defense stepped up in a large way. Great job by Putko and the offense to avoid mistakes. +3 in Turnovers. I read somewhere that Wabash would end up with that kind of margin and they did. Too many penalties today though.

All that said HSC is a really really good team. Nance to Walker is a threat on any down and distance and their defense had some really good plays today. Wabash's just had more.

Great start to this series.

And a great start to the season. I'm excited about this team's ceiling.

Very enjoyable game to watch as a fan of D3 football.  HS-C was good, but Wabash was clearly better.  I wish more top programs played openers like this because it certainly adds a level of excitement not found even on opening weekend.  Kudos to both schools for making it happen.

OWU wins, OWU 40, Bluffton 20.
Glad they started the season with a win, but Bluffton out rushed OWU and had more passing yards.
