5 bucks we're talking a whole lotta Depauw tomorrow night.
Don't think they are there yet.   Hope I am wrong.  It is pretty crazy when I want the Dannies to win a game... It has never happened.

I know that this is all in good fun, but it's no secret that big-time rivalries are at their best when both teams are good.  I think that most good teams at least sort-of root for even their most hated rivals because they know a season-ending showdown is a lot more fun when both teams are at least "decent" and (whether guys will admit this or not) there is something more to play for.

My senior year of HS we entered the season-ending rivalry game 9-0 while our opponents limped in at 2-7 thanks to some difficult circumstances (very young team, had fired their longtime successful head coach shortly before the season in a school-board pissing match).  We won 24-3 in a game with a very anticlimactic feel to it (we scored on the first play from scrimmage and more-or-less coasted for the rest of the game).  It would have been WAY more fun if they were good.  I still feel a little cheated.

I can't speak for the intensity of the Bell rivalry, but it certainly seems to an outsider that the game would be more fun if DPU was really good again.
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

A unique spot here for Little Giant fans... because Depauw & Witt are both by far our biggest football rivals.

I think I'm pretty indifferent to the actual result in Springfield tomorrow.  If DePauw is good enough to win, then they're good enough to get to week 11 with one or zero losses.  Witt, unless they are not as good as I think they are, are going to get to week 10 with one or zero losses.  Either way, Wabash is going to have to beat them both to get the AQ.  I am interested to see if DePauw has improved enough to at least make this a game.

If you are inclined, Chris Creighton's EMU squad is playing Michigan State on the B1G Network.

As of this writing, it's already 21-0 Spartans with 7 minutes to go in the first quarter...

Hope they got a big, big payday from this. Yikes. 35-0 with 12:00 in the 2nd.

Not a very encouraging first drive for the Wabash D. They do hold them to 3, though. Denison wanted to go for it on 4th and about 3 from the 10 or so, but they had an illegal substitution and kicked it instead.

And then a pretty ugly looking 3 and out by the Wabash O.

Wabash gets a stop and gets down close for 3. Tied at 3. 2:00 1st.

It's weird to have just two traditional starts, and three night games...

Hiram is up 7-0 early. Partridge already has 90+ yards passing...

Gheny ties it at 7.

Eastern Michigan has one (1) yard at halftime. 49-0 Sparty. Going to go poorly when you're on the wrong end of a 320-1 yardage differential.

Not able to get the Wabash game video...says wait...anyone else having trouble?

Try the SD stream. That's the one that's working well.

Yeah, the stream's good - just don't be fooled by the commentator constantly calling the LGs, Wittenberg.  ;)
