I think two very good QBs in the conference will have a go at it on Saturday in OWU v. Hiram. The conference standings should really start to sort themselves out after this week's games.

I don't think it's a stretch to call this game the biggest for Hiram since the inception of this website.  A 3-3 Hiram teamwith a chance to knock off an NCAC foe that has a winning record this late in the season...and keeping alive the hopes for a winning or .500 season, which would be a big step for the Terriers...come on, pups.
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

EXTP - Thanks for all the Support ;)
I hope it is a good game but I still want OWU to win. While it would be a good thing for the league it would not be good for OWU. I am interested to see how OWU plays Witt, and I am hopeful that have a good game and beat Wooster. As people have said Wooster does not have a great defense. Losing to the Terriers really puts a cramp in that.
I cannot complain to much though. I understand the excitement. I hope Hiram wins out except for OWU. Plus it is our Homecoming.

Absolutely true.  I certainly don't begrudge you the support of your own team (and OWU retains some hope for a pretty good season themselves, 4-2 with several winnable games to be played).  I just like rooting for underdog stories.

Hiram has had a lot of instability and personnel changes at safety throughout the course of the season; that, so far, has been the defenses main weakness. I am sure it has been noted on film and I am interested to see who the Terriers start at the position on Saturday.

I'm not going to lie, I am a little disappointed in everyone's 36+ hiatus from posting!

Wabash plays Oberlin which isn't interesting for everybody and the Giants are in the World Series so I'm otherwise preoccupied.   :)

And I'm working on at-large projections...I'll bounce back around to this week's NCAC games sometime today.

Prop bets for the game?
-# of Oberlin fumbles o/u 2.5
- total # of points o/u 64.5
- Point disparity between teams , Wab -36.5
- Special teams touchdown o/u .5
- Wabash total yards o/u 520
- Oberlin total yards o/u 185
- total # of quarterbacks played by both teams o/u 4
- Times John Heisman is referenced in the broadcast o/u 2.5

Have at it, boys. I make spreads for every week's games and pass them out to my friends and have a weekly pick-em, if you're all interested I'd be willing to do the same on here.

For those interested, below is the link to the Wabash College game notes for this weekend's game with Oberlin at Hollett. The weather looks like it is going to be perfect.

The LGs need to keep their focus for this one.  Two years ago, Wabash was the 10th ranked team in the  nation (just like they are now) and laid an egg at home - Oberlin took the game to the Little Giants and they never answered the bell.  This team seems to have the right kind of drive and there is little chance of a repeat performance.  Looking forward to a fun Family Day in Crawfordsville.

I have always respected Wabash's coaching staff. I could see them dominating Oberlin this weekend, yet not being concerned if the box score reflects that or not. Cannot say the same for some other schools in our conference.

All true.  I would just offer the following:
- 2014 Oberlin is not 2012 Oberlin.  That team had dudes.  Plenty of them.  This year's team has some nice pieces for sure (TotW honoree Justin Cruz among them), but I don't see the Mandel/Witjes/Weintraub/Kalgren depth of quality in that offense this year and I definitely don't see the same caliber of defense being played by the Yeomen (20 ppg in 2012, 41 ppg in 2014).

- A LOT of this year's upperclassmen for Wabash played in that game in 2012.  It's not just a thing they heard about or watched  as a fourth stringer.  They were the ones on the field getting whooped.  That group of players has played 16 games since that November day in 2012 and has obliterated the opposing side in 15 of those games (the one being last year's loss to a stellar Wittenberg team).  Focus or complacency or whatever else hasn't been an issue.  In fact, those things haven't even been present since that day.  And I don't even like mentioning that because it really cheapens the result which is completely unfair to Oberlin.  They were awesome on that day.
