Everyone must be out shoveling snow.

Anyone heard any good recruiting rumors?

Saw this posted on twitter just a minute ago. John Madden and Pat Summerall speak with the Wittenberg football team before a 1982 practice:

Pretty cool.....

I believe CBS aired a Witt game vs B-W that year.  Certainly that photo is from CBS's prep work that week.

Same here...I can't remember where I've read it exactly now, but it has popped up in various and sundry Witt propaganda over the years.

In 1982?  A little before my football time. 4-year old me almost certainly rocked those righteous double-ringed tube socks though.  :)

No doubt.  I love pics from the 80's.  As long as I'm not in them!  :D

I remember the game being on. It was during the strike of 82. A couple of years ago Wittenberg had a story on their site commemorating the game. The game I believe was moved to a sunday but I am not sure of that one. Help me out Tigers.

B-W at Witt was televised regionally in 1977, also. I believe it was ABC.

As was Witt-Ithaca in the '75 Stagg Bowl, I believe.

I don't recall either of those, but '78 Witt-BW Stagg Bowl was broadcast.  BW used to have the video on their site, but no longer.

Here's '79 Witt-Ithaca Stagg:

I know Chase Lintner is going there. 6'2" 225 pound tight end. 4.84 40 yard dash. Played high school ball at DeMatha HS in Hyattsville, MD. Also played linebacker.
