2014 NCAC Football Pick 'Em Champion!!

We will know (here a significant understatement) a lot more early this year as Witt visits Wabash in the season's third game on September 26.
I am looking forward to where DIII football ranks DePauw.  Coming off a 7-3 record in '14, they return a solid group of starters.  The entire offensive line, a two-year starter at QB (now a junior), the top RB, and another RB who scored 8 TDs as a freshman last year, and a WR who caught 32 passes as a frosh.  They do appear a bit thin overall at WR.  On defense, I count the potential for eight starters to return:  three on the DL, two LBS, and all four DBs.  Both the punter and kicker (12 FGs last year) also return.
This will be coach Lynch's third year as the Tigers continue to stretch toward becoming competitive in the Bell Game, which will be played in Greencastle this year.  On paper, they look to be capable of holding their own in every game.  I'd mark them as a favorite in all but the Wittenberg and Wabash games, but who knows if this might change if one of those two slip up during the year against anyone besides each other and DPU holds form.

I feel the same way. I've been high on Hunt for a while. All streaks end eventually. I feel like Hunt will get one before he's done at DePauw.

Hunt may be in the hunt as you say ... but my money is on the LGs.  "Returning" starter to a team which wins over little sisters of the poor as a part of their winning record is not the same as "returning" starter to a team which went to the second round of the D III playoffs, losing to the National Champ.

Just hoping that he can stay healthy for the entire season.

My major league baseball team has officially crapped the bed, so it is a hot, dry summer until the Little Giants take the field on September 5.

While driving through OHIO on vacaion I chanced upon Crawfordville so I took a break and checked out. Wabash.  Very pretty campus and nice facilities.  Really liked the football facilities but I wondered what they are building next to it.

That's probably some of the sweet (suite?) new student housing that's being built. It's a really cool project and makes me a tad jealous of the next generation of Wabash students.  :)
