You guys are smiting my posts now?  I thought we were having fun. Whose feelings got hurt?  I'm giving you guys GOLD- a person to vent your over confidence.  You should be giving me applause not smites!  I'm just crazy/stupid enough to walk into the Giant's domain and poke him. It's all in the sprit of good times. I know you guys are good but I'll keep poking until after the game. Smite away! :)

I've found it entertaining enough to "applaud" you HSC.  :D

What? Many. They could make many, many more.

We plan on winning dad!  They cannot make ANY more and that happen. Dont be so arrogant about your LGs that you cannot see ANYTHING but a Wabash victory.  I know it's hard for you to fathom that NO ONE playing at HSC is thinking about anything but winning. Their going in EXPECTING to win.

Welcome to the NCAC board HSCTiger - where the glasses are tinted scarlet and the skin needs to be thick.  Many posters find the Wabash rhetoric to be boorish, even to the point of buffoonery (mine included), but if you stick around, it can be fun.  +1 for you and stick to your guns.  You have already displayed more testicular fortitude than any Tiger from the school to the south (for the HSC guys on this board - that would be the feckless Dannies from DePauw).

If HSC had lost to the LGs as many times as Depauw the last several years I might have quit posting too. But it's only happen once.  HSC was certainly impressed with the LGs last year but honestly that was our closest loss. Bridgewater and Randolph Macon beat HSC worse than the LGs. I doubt there are many HSC fans that don't think we can turn that around this year. Why should Wabash be any different to our guys?

This really can't be brought up enough. Six in a row, gentlemen. Beating DePauw like a drum never gets old.

Tiger Fan, not to be rude, but in the third quarter Mr. Nance has taken so many hard hits, he was staggering at one point.  With the game generally out of reach, Wabash began playing a lot of other players.  This is part of the team's strategy to get non-starters as much playing experience as possible.  Wabash has great respect for HSC, so running up the score wasn't an option.  Bridgewater and Randy Mac may have had other objectives in their game plans.

Getting as much playing experience as possible builds depth for a long season, and helps prepare players to step in when there are injuries.

Happy Moral Imperative Day! This site is a miracle and you should support it however you can, but especially by purchasing Kickoff. Like, right now. Do it.

I don't know what game you watched. You guys did not sub freely and you most definitely did hit Nance in the 3rd quarter. HSC did not have the ball in the 3rd quarter but for 1 min and 50 seconds. You're just making things up. HSC only ran 8 plays in the 3rd quarter and 1 was a punt. He threw 6 passes - completed 3. Was untouched on 5 and was twisted around the only time he was even touched in the 3rd quarter. He threw the ball as he was falling - not exactly a staggering blow.

As for your argument that Wabash took pity on HSC - COMPLETE AND TOTAL BS!  According to the participation report Wabash ONLY PLAYED 32 PLAYERS. HSC played 37!  Counting the kicker and punter you guys subbed 8 guys ALL GAME.  You guys played 47 againt Wittenburg. Did you guys give up?  Did you throw in the towel that game?  I thought Wabash men "Always Fight".  I mean my gosh if you were building depth with the 8 TOTAL SUBS from the HSC game what were you doing subbing 23 while losing by a TD?  I kinda feel bad for Wabash as Wittenburg took great pity on your team too. They emptied the bench and played 16 subs.

Just so you know RMC played 43 players and Bridgewater played 64.  Check your facts because you're post is complete crap.

And.... THAT'S a rebuttal.

wally_wabash

Participation report smack?  Also a first.

I don't think that this particular line of dialogue means anything, but you should probably take the participation reports with a grain of salt.  Wabash's published boxscore doesn't agree with your accounting.

Frankly it's silly to assert that Wabash, or pretty much any fully-rostered college level football team only played 32 guys in an entire game.  If it sounds silly, it probably is.
