Iammarino is a junior, no?

Ye Olde Skull should be very interesting next weekend, eagle.  I thought OWU did alright last week and then the dam broke in the 4th quarter there.  Wittenberg isn't UMHB, especially defensively.  OWU ought to be able to do more on offense next week, have some more legs left in their D in the 4th quarter and make a game of it.

Thanks Old Gold Tiger - welcome to the NCAC board. +1 for the info.

You better give Earlham points.

Ok - fellow Wabash supporters and parents of children. is it too over the top to forbid your young children from listening to "Eye of the Tiger?"

Nope.

Not exactly NCAC related, though I was excited to learn (I think) something gossip-y about the 2015 season in last Friday's TripleTake. Pat Coleman seems to obliquely suggest that he's one of the two voters throwing a #1 vote to Linfield:

"I just think Linfield is helmet and shoulder pads above Chapman, if not perhaps the best team in all of D-III football."

This is fun! I don't remember the oft-reserved PC tiptoeing (even this lightly) out on a limb in a long while. And the wildcats made him look good on Saturday, destroying #22 Chapman 52-14.

Anyway, between that and Wartburg / Schrader raising some question marks to begin their season, there's intriguing stuff happening in front of Wabash in the Top 10.

Agree Bashdad.....

I was excited to see the result out of the HSC/#26 CNU game on Saturday....  Great win for the Tigers in that one.   What, if anything, could this mean about the overall strength of the 2015 Little Giants?

Would be great to see HSC win out and become regionally ranked.

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Allegheny has given both teams they've played (Thiel and Wooster) their first and only win of the young season. In those games, the Gators have rushed for 42 and 14 yards respectively.

This week isn't even fun.

Legitimate point of discussion: has Wartburg actually raised question marks, or no?  I'm not asking sarcastically.  I really don't know.

They did beat Augsburg and Bethel more decisively in the opening stanzas last year, but I don't think that I would read into a pair of tougher-than-expected early wins against a midpack and an upper-tier MIAC team as a problem.  Yet, anyway.  But I can appreciate the desire for actually being hard on teams at the top of the rankings; I dislike the attitude of "It's not fair that (Team X) dropped in the rankings, they won this week" when applied to teams in the top 10-15.  We should have high standards for the teams up there.

*Edited to add: then again, I did just see that the MIAC board contains some commentary worth reading from Bethel fans to this effect, that they think last year's Wartburg team was better than this one.
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

I'm taking a wait-and-see approach with Wartburg.  I don't know if they aren't as good or if everybody else's expectations in 2015 are just very different than they were in 2014.

Probably a safe bet based on Kickoff content.  Pat likes 2015 Linfield a lot.

I'm with you here, only one conference game that makes me care - OWU @ Wittenberg.  Would love to see an upset special here, but a tall task.

Wabash can name their score this week.  Denison & DePauw may be able to as well.
