P. S. good luck to my favorite team the Big Red. This just might be the year tomorrow's game is not the title game.

Whoa!  Let's put a pin in this for about 27 hours.

(he's right...whoever wins tomorrow isn't nearly out of the NCAC woods)

I want to believe this, I really do.  DePauw and Denison are both credible threats, although we might be talking ourselves into that in an effort to believe that the NCAC race isn't just over by the end of September.  But smoking Marietta and Oberlin (2015 version) is no more than a good team should do.  I'll buy some Denison stock if they come out next week and put it on an OWU team that's been pretty spunky against a brutal opening salvo.  DPU will get their shot a week later to prove it.

Dude, I would strongly prefer the NCAC race to be over (in favor of Wabash, obviously) tomorrow.  The six-week victory parade for culminating in a full coronation in front of our good friends at Blackstock Stadium would be an amazing ride.  But that's just not the case this year.  Good Wabash or Good Witt beats anybody else in the league, hands down.  But one lazy week against either of those two, and those two are good enough to win.  That's all I'm saying.  We can make more direct observations about the quality of Denison/DePauw down the road, but they shouldn't be overlooked.

In the first two games of the year Wabash has scored 12 TDs--all rushing.  When in anyone's memory has that happened before?  The best chance for a passing TD was v. HSC when a short pass bounced off the shoulder pads of the receiver and was intercepted in the end zone.   Does someone throw a TD pass v. the Tigers tomorrow?

Maybe- if like in the last two games Wabash is able to drive at will and keep witt's big play offense off the field. I don't think it will be that simple. With the running game we have- the only reason to pass is if we need to help set up the run or to score quickly. If we need to score quickly- then the defense is not what we think they are.

I have always said that Denison's wins against Marietta and Oberlin were against poor teams. I don't know which is worse between the two. Still Denison is not a pushover and could pull the upset. I'm sure most of us didn't expect Oberlin to pull the upset they did in 2012.

It's not that they won the games against teams that aren't all that good.  It's how they won.  They had Marietta beat 41-7 before a late score tightened it up a tad.  A 45-0 shutout of Oberlin is nice in and of itself, but they allowed under 100 yards of offense to an Oberlin team that has some good offensive pieces.  These are the kinds of scores and stats that legitimately good teams post against the lesser teams on their schedule.  It's one thing to just win those games, it's another to be overwhelming- and that's the part that people should be taking note of.

We're on the same page.  I like Denison a lot in 2015.

Time to take on some of the O/U's here.

OVER/UNDERS WABASH V. WITTENBERG

Passing yards for Jenkins: 175.5 - Over
Sacks against Jenkins: 3.5 - Over
Attempts for Jenkins: 32.5 - Over
Yards rushing for Witt: 99.5 - Under
Combined catches Culvahouse/stump: 17.5 - Under
Stump Shushes: .5 - HAHAHAHA.  I'll go over, but probably when he makes a first down in the second quarter.  He's not scoring.
Buresh thing-he-does-to-celebrate: 1.5 - Over.  Sun's out guns out, kids.
15yd-plus passing attempts for Witt in first series: 1.5 - Over
Total plays of opening series (Witt): 7.5 - Under
Total plays of opening series (Wabash): 5.5 - Over
Witt turnovers: 1.5 - Over
Wabash turnovers: 1.5 - Under
Yards for Zurek: 130.5 - OVER
Rushing attempts for Z: 28.5 - Probably under, but I hope for over.  I want Billy Kaiser kinds of touches for Z tomorrow.
Longest rush for Shamir Johnson: 11.5 - Over.  He'll snap one off.  He always does.
Attempts for Putko: 9.5 - Under
Rice throwing TDs: .5 - Over.  Time to get #TheShow into the end zone.
No. of Plays in Wabash's longest offensive drive: 14.5 - Over
Parks/Pettiford INTs: 1.5 - Under.  One for the corners, one for a safety, one for a LB.
15 yard penalties (both teams combined): 4.5 - Under if we're talking about conduct penalties.  If we include PIs, maybe over.
Defensive or SP/T scores: .5 - Over.
Combined score: 51.5 - I think I predicted under, so we'll stick with that.
Points by Wabash: 51.5 -  Brilliant.

Lets get this game going already....  been a long wait from last year's tough loss.... ER & Hammer will have the team ready.   If we play clean.... Bash wins by 2,  maybe 3 TD's.

I wasn't a student when we were in the NCAC playing these pivotal games against Witt but I wish I had been. How fortunate we are to have a second rivalry that is so meaningful. I love Witt Week and I hope they can put together the kind of game we know the team is capable of. My prediction Wabash 27 Witt 13. Let's get it done tomorrow, gents.

Is anyone else experiencing some issues with the commentary/rewinding on the Livestream?

Appears maybe the split of equipment and staff to handle the soccer game at Mud Hollow may have been an issue - 2nd half was great, particularly the replay work.  Thanks to all the AV crew - WAF!

Yep. Keeps flipping back 10-15 seconds for a moment and then flipping forward to catch up.

Not the greatest connection today. Must be a lot of people watching.
