Witt Week concludes - Wabash gets the win 42-14.  Defense was ferocious, fast, and entire unit played "lights out."

Wabash 42 - 14 over Witt....

Conner Rice 3 TD's Passing.....   Parks 3 Int's.   Plus the first ever Nose guard INT I have ever seen....

Thoughts are with returning All-NCAC Sr. running back Mason Zurek and DB Sr. Justin Woods who were both said to have been taken away from the field in ambulances.....(unconfirmed).  we all hope that none of the injuries are serious.

Big win for Wabash....  Wabash's Defense is for real and outside of a bunch of flats passes.... didn't really allow Witt to do much.

26 net yards rushing (after the 7 sacks).....  wow.

WAF!

and then there was one...
Congrats LG's

Denison didn't inspire me today. Wooster shut them down in the first half stopping the run. Big red found some way to pull it out. 5 turnovers and still win by two touchdowns .bright spot continues to be defense as scots could do nothing only scoring one very questionable touchdown at the end. Have to clean that up before next week.

Parks had a great game, really only one bad series and Witt had a short field to work with right before halftime.

Don't know about the ambulances, but saw Woods on the table (and later on crutches), and Zurek on the table after the goal line fumble, not to return.  Hope they are both OK.  Shamir Johnson did a great job in Zurek's stead.

THAT was a statement game.  Think we found our QB...

And on Rutter's pick, Karns put a hurt on Jenkins.

Think we found our QB..

Yep... We needed a passing game today early.  That 66 yard TD pass was huge for the momentum for the game..

#3's over/unders were pretty darned impressive, though through the first half many appeared unattainable.  Nice interview with him at halftime and enjoyed the soothsayer prognostication concerning Parks.  Reminds this auld phart of an afternoon Joe Haklin enjoyed forty-some years back before Frederick erased that mark. +k on "the calls", BashDad.

Terrible to see Justin go down with an injury (which hopefully is not season-ending) and clinging to the positive (per Clay Randolph's sideline report) that Mason was only plagued with dehydration and nausea.

Bishops get a breather tonight after banging heads with 2 top national programs...
They have a good shot at a victory tonight, BUT, have to put 4 QT's
together and put points on the board. Bishops are getting killed in
the second half.
I didn't expect wins over MHB/Witt, but, it showed how far this program
has to go...I think tonight will generate the mo for the season. GO BISHOPS

20-zip Bishops with 8 left in 1st..
the announcers need to be replaced

Hope you are right on Mason, looked like he took a pretty good hit at the goal line.  Be curious on Jenkins status, maybe Fincham just pulled him because game was out of reach and he was getting beat up.

Has Wabash become a team in which.... good teams feel it a small victory when it is close at half.... only to have the depth and talent blow the doors off the barn in the 2nd half and you lose by a bunch?

I don't know the answer and would probably say we are not quite there yet.....   but we are certainly getting closer to it.

Witt got tired in the 2nd half... this contributed to mistakes...

Even though this was just another game on the schedule,   it was a huge win.... as CPA mentioned above,  a statement.

Bravo!   WAF!
