How is the WCCO commentary over one minute behind the live video (which is back sans announcers)?

At least the radio guys are solid commentators.

UST is very good, as advertised.

Special teams sucked all year and we could shrug it off. Not today.

This hasn't just been special teams letting them down.

yeah, SJU backers hate the UST coverage and vice versa. Personally, I think the WCCO guys for UST do a pretty nice job and are pretty complimentary of the opposing team when they need to be.

Agree - it's been pretty good since went to the CBS website but being a technically-challenged Luddite, trying to watch the on again/ off again video several plays in advance of "the call" and recalling the play being described really detracts from the experience.   ;)  The Tommies are definitely as good as advertised (maybe better...) - very impressed!

I think most of the criticism is for Dave Lee who struggled at times when he was doing gopher games.  He's improved since then.

This is probably the worst performance I've seen by a special teams unit that I would have deemed to be "elite" before the game started, if that makes sense. The best of the best coming in. And then a total disaster today. I never even considered that as a possible factor at the game. I just assume they're going to play well in the specials. That's how good they are.

None of the other stats are even that important. Pretty pedestrian offensive day for UST (comparatively speaking, based on the rest of their games) and it didn't matter.

7-24 is really, really bad. 120 rushing yards isn't enough. They got to 4 yards a carry, which I thought would be good enough to win, but unfortunately the clock became the enemy pretty early. D got 3 UST turnovers and held UST under 3 yards a carry, although there's still 10 mins to go as I write this.

If the specials are at least mediocre, Wabash probably would have been in a position late to at least have a chance.

Elite programs have a freaking webcast that people can watch.  What a joke.  High school.

PS He could play in the SEC

WAF

He was recruited by Wisconsin and Minnesota, so...not that preposterous.

Elite programs score points in the first half of quarterfinal games.

Elite programs have Walnut and Bronze.

I would say a few of those stats are a little deceptive. Two of the turnovers were by UST's second team offense that came in at the end of the 3rd. Also, Wabash's scoring drive came against UST's second team defense. That is where most of their running yards came from. As I am writing this, UST currently has 3 freshmen on the field playing defense.

That sequence of drives at the beginning of the 3rd quarter was killer. Thought Zurek was in for a TD that would have made it 17-7 and you think we've got a game. But holding negates the TD, Wabash misses the FG, Wabash fumbles the punt after a stop, gives up a TD on a fake FG, then gives up an onside kick that leads to another TD and boom, instead of 17-7, a few minutes later it's 31-0 and is all over.

Hats off to St. Thomas. They did what the better team is supposed to do. They buried us. Good luck the rest of the way.

As for Wabash, I'd like to say "thank you" to this year's seniors. This senior class went 39-6 overall, 4-0 in the Monon Bell, and made two trips to the playoffs. That's a pretty incredible set of accomplishments for them. Thanks for all the hard work. This season was a fun ride and we'll remember it forever.

You Little Giants might want to rethink your righteous indignation here. As bad as this stream is (was?), it is still significantly more watchable than Wabash's stream of the Wittenberg game earlier this year.

I don't remember having any problem watching that 21 point 4th quarter explosion that buried y'all. It was perfectly clear.

I guess it all comes around in the end. I missed the 17 point first half explosion that buried y'all, but the Tommie stream stabilized in time for me to see the 21 point 3rd quarter explosion that buried y'all a second time.

Enjoy the offseason.

I'll defer to your advice on the offseason since y'all had a 3 week head start on it.
