Well said.  I kept wondering when Wabash was going to adjust but any adjustments were not apparent.  Witt's strategy was spot on - force Wabash to throw.  They had the horses to stop the run and it appears that we did not have the horses to execute a passing game.

Nope nope nope.  Wabash has a 6-4 230 QB throwing to a pair of 6-4 skilled WRs on the outside (Page is pretty routinely the best player on the field), a 6-4 223 matchup nightmare TE, and really good flanker/slot receiver.   Not only do they have the horses, they have all of the horses.  Against 98% of D-III, this shouldn't even be fair.  These are the best QB + WR pieces Wabash has had probably since 2009.  So what's going on with the pass offense isn't about the dudes.  Wabash should be destroying people with this part of the offense.

You're in luck. Hiram is weakest at the corners.

Who's calling the plays this year, Morel or the new guy, Knoche?

Glibly, the retort: "Like -- exactly, man."

There's no doubt that Wabash will be able to extend the field against Hiram. Just watching brief moments of the Wab-Witt game, it is clear that they have some receivers that can stretch the field; that should match up well against our smaller corners.

If it rains, Hiram will have a better chance of slowing down Wabash's offense, as we are considerably more stout against the run. I may even venture to say that we're very good against the run. That, however, is tough to accomplish if the deep ball is a constant threat for our safeties.

I see a rainy game that's within 10 points at half time. However, Wabash (as you have all pointed out) certainly has the athletic advantage, and they pull away in the second; 38-14 Bash.

Pivotal game in Granville for OWU.
Bishops need this one to keep pace in the conference,
and slow the rising Big Red
Weather might be a factor (I thought rain)
Be nice if we could get some points on the board (it is game 3)
Good Luck to all...Stay Injury Free

Woo-Witt game's today! I'd love to see my first win against Witt, and it'll be tough, but I think they can. It's at home, they did really well against Depauw, and except for a really bad quarter did fairly well against Denison. Go Woo! Beat Witt!

Wabash's coaching....was wondering when someone was going to address the 800 lb. gorilla in the room.  Morel may be a great guy...and I have heard that from many people...but he is a proven loser as a head coach.  Google it.  The truth hurts.

What was the WabCol admin thinking when they hired this guy?  Were they just being lazy?  I would think there would be a mile long line of young Coach Creighton-esque types jumping at the chance to coach a team like this.  Admin really screwed the pooch on this one.  They should have lured Carlson out of retirement if they wanted mediocrity.

Barf. Puke.

It will take years to recover from this blunder.

What's with the absolute inability to effectively tackle, Wabash D?  Sheeez - quit doing the NFL glory collisions, wrap with your arms and take the buggers to the ground.  Maybe a day's practice should be sans pads and helmets and work out with the rugby club?  :D

The boys are playing hard. That fumble recovery was HUGE for Bash.

On a side note, that Portage County foliage is starting to change. I love this campus.
