Having now been distracted by the tiebreak situation, I believe the third tiebreak (after h2h and results vs. common opponents in descending order...both wash out in the hypothetical that we're contemplating here) is fewest road losses.  If that's still a thing (I'm not sure I've seen official tiebreak rules reported anywhere since we went full round robin in 2013), then Wittenberg is probably going to get that AQ by virtue of not having to play anybody good on the road.  So a three way tie scenario where Witt gets the AQ leaves Wabash in ok shape (definitely not in for sure, but not eliminated) and probably eliminates DePauw from getting invited.

Thanks Wally. Or something wacky will happen involving Denison. I'm not sleeping on the Big Red.

OWU SHOULD count on automatic wins versus Oberlin (already won in 2016), Kenyon (today) and Hiram (Puppies have taken a
bite out of the Bishops in the recent past). As we head into mid-season, the Red & Black haven't shown much to say they're
headed into the top tier of the NCAC. A complete game today and next week will prepare them for the meat grinder that awaits them.
The next 2 weeks should show a COMPLETE Red & Black football team...they need it

Impressive first half for Kennedy against DePauw.  That definitely caught my eye this afternoon.

The fumble was killer - DePauw up 10-7 with about 5 mins left and they cough it up and Witt takes advantage, as a good team does. 14 quick points followed.

Witt announcer: "Matt Hunt is the best QB I've seen in this league in many years."  Nice.

There's one better in the Witt coaching box, tbh.

Looks like we'll both be playing for pride next month -- keep plugging away at the cupcakes today.

Hitting the ejector seat on 2016 already?  Wow.

That's overstating it - but today's outcome makes it probable that we're (hopefully) both 8-1 headed into the big game - when you lead the conference you control your destiny.  That's Witt, unless they stumble badly.

One of your guys referred to your coach as a "proven loser" last week. I'm not being harsh, just realistic.  Still hoping we can grab an at-large bid, but again, that controlling your destiny thing, which we've both lost....

Bishops win 25-17
Defense held a driving Kenyon offense
Held on downs
Sr QB "Dom" comes OFF the bench to score on a 50 yd run
Kenyon offensive line looked a lot bigger than OWU's defense
Makes Homecoming Weekend a lot better with the win
Puppy next Saturday

I do believe the Puppies beat those same Lords 45-7

The Hiram O-Line doing one heck of a job thus far in the first quarter. Another touchdown after a 96 yard drive for the Terriers.

19-14 Hiram leads Denison after two missed XPs. Hope those misses don't come back to haunt us.

Pulling one post from one angry fan who lashed out at the head coach and using it as the de facto representation of Wabash football is hardly realistic.  It's pretty silly, actually.
