So I'll see if I can find the source again, but I had heard that Wooster was going to play the first down against Depauw with only 10 men in memory of Clayton Geib. I'm assuming they mean first down on offense since he was on the offensive line, but I guess it could be on defense if Depauw receives to start the game

If that's the case, I'm sure Coaches Colaprete and Lynch could work out a gentlemanly agreement to make sure that Wooster receives the opening kickoff.  Most people prefer receiving the second half kick anyway.

Earlier in the week Fox News Channel 8 out of Cleveland in a web-page article mentioned that Wooster would initially take the field vs. DPU with 10 players.  Fox said that the team will also wear a 72 decal, Clayton's number, on their helmets.  Hope both these things are accurate.

Change of topic, but a very nice article in the most recent Wabash Magazine regarding BashDad and his movie, "Love After Love".  Congrats on the distribution deal, and look forward to seeing it.

We're losing to Hiram. I'm trying really hard not to be "that" alumnus.

Well, the game video is better than last week but sure would have liked to see the halftime festivities... ugly game but then, Hiram-Wabash has been the last half decade.  Second half kick and McGinnis hacks up his third loogie - speed isn't squat if ya can't hang on to the bloody ball, particularly when all three were sans contact!  Ouch.  There - I will be that alum for you, Mark.

Well crap, Wooster just couldn't do it today. Still, I'm definitely happy w/ 3-1 at this point

Seriously not trying to take anything from a Hiram team that played very hard today...  but What has happened to a proud Wabash Football Program?

In the Last 10 meetings between Wabash and Hiram..  Bash outscored Hiram...   534 to 64

Hiram's program is certainly on the rise.. which is great to see...  but Wabash seems to be falling quite fast.

No offensive plan..  no direction..  obviously not ready to play football  today.

Don't know what the reasons/answers are.. but Denison,  Witt and Depauw will beat us,  maybe handily,  if we don't get it figured out.  Heck, after today, I am concerned about all of the remaining games.

Thoughts are with Oliver Page and his family after his injury today.

I am biting my tongue so hard i'm bleeding.  Lack of imagination.  I will say that after trailing 14-0 early the LGs hung in there, and they held Tucker in check all day.  Nothing else to add lest I say the wrong thing.

On December 5, 2015 Wabash played in the quarterfinals of the tournament. A whole *thirteen* games later we are surviving a potential upset on Homecoming by Hiram. Hiram.

Hiram.

No really, Hiram.

This coaching staff inspires zero confidence. Zero.

If we want a relive the pre-Creighton years, then let's keep this truck heading toward the ditch. If we want to compete at the level we have become accustomed to, well....

Sir Battlescars

It's too bad Hiram wasn't able to pull off the upset today. After seeing them struggle for years in the OAC and then the NCAC it would have been nice to see them come away with a big signature win off one of the top teams in the conference for a change. We'll see if they can build off of this.

It wasn't that long ago Wabash lost to Allegheny and Oberlin at home, and they did alright after that. I don't think anyone called for ER's head then.

It's definitely a lack of confidence in any QBs, which I think speaks to recruiting more than anything.

But it is frustrating, I understand.

He had capital that Morel doesn't.

When ER lost to Oberlin and Gheny he had already:

Beaten Depauw 3 times
Beaten Witt 2 times
Had a deep run in the playoffs the year before.

Which of these has Morel done?

Which of these does anyone have confidence he will do?
