That Brock Heffron pick was a thing of beauty.  Great play.

After seeing the 37k at the TommyJohn game this weekend, can anyone break out the highest attendance at an NCAC game? I'm assuming it's a Monon Bell game...

Hiram College wins the inter-collegiate basketball world championship at the World's Fair Universal Exposition Olympic Games in St. Louis, Missouri. Final score: Hiram, 25; Latter Day Saints University, 18.

If you consider an NCAC game to be a game between two NCAC teams, I don't think any of these qualify:

Would be really, really, really hard to do.  You'd have to do it Indy and you'd have to have both sides do 12+ months of marketing for it...not just for the game itself but you'd have to market it as coming to be a part of the largest crowd ever for a D3 game.  Even then, I'm not sure you'd sell 37,000 tickets.  You'd get the highest attended Monon Bell game, but doubtful you'd get all the way to 37,000.

Congrats, Matt Labus, NCAC Offensive Player of the Week.
17-22 for 303 yards, 5 TD, and a 267.96 passing efficiency rating.  Plus 11 carries for 50 yards.  His efficiency rating for the season is now 3rd in the nation.

I had this conversation at lunch with a Wally I work with and we came to the same conclusion. It would take a ton of work and I doubt we'd get that close. I could see 20,000+ though.

And I'll add that I am opposed to any neutral site instances of the Bell Game.

I suspect we'll start tracking this record with an asterisk and have some fight over the top attendance for an on-campus game. I wouldn't be surprised for a push at St John's next year to take back that record from the Wisconsin boys.

I think JCU/UMU may be the only game I know of with an urban alumni base large enough to pull it off. But i highly doubt either team would give up a home game to play at First Energy.

Nonetheless, on a side note. I will be attending the Williams Amherst game this year and hopefully the Monon Bell game in 2018.

Anyone else recall the Wabash game against Taylor in the Hoosier Dome in 1984.  I attended that game as part of a recruiting trip.  Can't find the attendance anywhere on-line.

I was there!  Tony Altavilla #7 had a great game.  Mike Worthington and Carl Hampton were studs on the D front.

Was that serious about the ticket booth?

Only if DPU wants to give up a home game.  I detest going to Greencastle.
