Mr. Ypsi

On behalf of Titans everywhere, THANK YOU, WABASH!

wabashcpa

I would like to say we knocked DePauw out of the playoffs, but let's face it, they knocked themselves out.

Congrats Wabash! Nice win to end the season for y'all and I bet it feels good to keep Depauw out of the playoffs.

Gotta hand it to Bill, bringing in a QB who hadn't played that position since HS, and it was working until the goal line fumble.  Great game -- congrats to Wabash.

Yeah, gotta hand it to Lynch for playing that dude at the wrong position for however many years.

Anyway, the bell is in its rightful place. And DM has his career highlight. I hope things change in Crawfordsville.

WAF.

This.  I know he is a nice receiving target, but that dude is your QB.

You definitely  need a couple QBs when your whole rush offense is QB power.

I like DePauw losing almost as much as I like Wabash winning.  And those are different things.

A little unfair, I think.  Andy Hunt didn't just drop that ball.  Jaleel Grandberry knocked that thing out.  LGs made some plays out there today.

DePauw was careless with the ball, or else the Bell would still be in Greencastle.  Not unfair at all.  LG's did make some plays, but so did the Tigers.  At the end of the day, who cares, Bell will be back in the Allen Center.

Congrats to all the Wabash fans, especially Wally Wabash. No matter what the struggles  were this year, you won the big one. Good teams win the big ones.

Wondering how much debris was left in Blackstock for the would-be Bell bandits to clean up?   I can imagine the DPU students doing their best to make it considerable.  All worth it, of course.

I know I've been one of the vocal critics of DM but I'm gonna say this now. I'm willing to concede that the problem is Knoche and not DM. I think the comments in this interview (link goes to Twitter) where he said he went for 2 because we hadn't played well on offense and that was our best opportunity to win gives me some hope that he recognizes the problem. Something needs to happen with this offense for next season. The talent is there. The defense is there. For DM to need two fake FGs and a 2pter to generate points he has to know where the deficiency lies. I hope something gets done. I hope when he walks into the athletic center under the Monon Bell this offseason he remembers what had to happen to put the points on the board to get it there.

It's been a weird season, guys, but this is our team, our alma mater, and once again, our Bell. #WAF

PS: Good luck to Witt in the playoffs

PPS: Shouts out to OWU, Wooster, Denison. Y'all are getting closer. And shout out to BJ Hammer and Gheny. 3-7 may not look great but that's more wins than Gheny had in the four previous seasons (2013-2016).

This is DePauw's best defender getting dumptrucked by Ike James on continuous loop.  You're welcome.

So, not to rain on Wabash fans' parades, but I saw something Keith McMillan tweeted out just a little bit ago that makes it look like they got the benefit of a bad call on the game-winning 2 point conversion.

(Original source)

I didn't get to see any of the game, and from the TV angle, it looked like it was at least close to the goal line, but that screengrab...

The play isn't over in that picture.  Watch the finish of the play.  Not the freeze frame that DPU's PR dude put out.

For the record- I don't know for sure if the ball was caught in front of or on the goal line.  I think Kirby juggles the ball and never completes the play until he's in the end zone.  I know there's not a definitive view.  The ref staring at the play from four feet away had the best look and he said it was in.
