Gutsy call. But scared money don't make money. WAF.

There are all kinds of clichés about the Jimmy's and the Joe's, but that was outright coaching and preparation on display with that 2 pt play! A TE trade to leave a backside eligible is just effin' beautiful!!!

Impressive win by Depauw.  Wonder if the they will get recognized in the D3 polls?  It's great to see the competition in the NCAC improving with many games being competitive.  Hopefully this will lift the entire conference and make the playoff team (s) stronger.

Beating Kenyon and Hiram is not something that the D3football.com Top 25 voters generally see as noteworthy. There's another poll that might, though.

Pat, that's a very polite response.
I'm willing to wait seven more days before giving DPU another thought.

I'm willing to wait a lot longer than that!

Being a lifelong Wabash fan (from the crib), it was quite a feat for me to say something positive about Depauw 😊.   Depauw has a pretty tough four weeks approaching; at Witt, vs Ohio Wesleyan, long road trip to Allegheny then vs Denison.

Is this the year the Bell game also doubles as a de facto conference championship game?  Does DePauw have the goods to take out Wittenberg on the road this weekend?  I think they just might.  Outside of Ohio Wesleyan, the remaining challenging games for Wabash are at Hollett, which is certainly favorable.  The Bell game may just take on added importance this year.

I'm always looking forward to the Bell Game and seems like there were many games when the team with an undefeated record lost.  Has there been a Bell Game that determined the NCAC championship?

Whitecarrera

There have certainly been Bell games that determined the championship, but I think 2015 was the only year that there was a chance of determining it in DePauw's favor.  More often it has been Wabash's championship to win, lose, or share, based on the outcome of the Bell game.  Remember too that DePauw hasn't been in the conference as along as Wabash.

DePauw's best chance remains when they cancel a season and then list the conference alphabetically as in 2020.

Whitecarrera I see you share the same Love for Depauw that I have !  I gave a talk at Depauw a few years ago and was speaking about a religious quality that roughly means: joy at other people's success.  I used the example, "If Depauw ever won the Bell Game, I would be able to feel joy, know you would be able to feel the joy I feel when Wabash wins."   😇  I didn't win a lot of fan with that line 😚.

Just heard on the Wabash Game cast that the great Wabash wrestling coach Max Servies passed away today.  Max was extremely kind to me as a student, and always took time see how I was doing.  Condolences to his family and the Wabash community. RIP Max.
