No doubt, Max was one of a kind!
I just might smoke a cigar tonight in his honor!

Glad to get the win and still be undefeated, but giving up nearly 500 yards (and over 400 passing) to a winless Oberlin team is a problem that needs solved quickly.

Just heard on the Wabash Game cast that the great Wabash wrestling coach Max Servies passed away today.  Max was extremely kind to me as a student, and always took time see how I was doing.  Condolences to his family and the Wabash community. RIP Max.

I was sad to hear on the broadcast about the passing of Max Servies. He was a definitely Some Little Giant.

Agree.

I used to help with the scoring at Wabash's matches and tournaments.  Even as an 13 year old volunteer Max would always come over and thank me for helping.  He was one of the first adults in my life who related to me as an adult.  Knowing Max was a big reason I choose to attend Wabash College.

Agree - giving up 400 yards passing needs to be addressed.  Nice to see Wabash was flagged a few less times (and yardage) than our norm, but two of those pass interference calls only cost us 3 yards.

No moral victories, but I was pleasantly surprised at how Hiram hung with OWU this weekend

I had that game on one of my monitors at work.  Those looked like two pretty evenly matched teams to me.  Progress.

It feels to me several NCAC schools are taking strides in their football programs, and Hiram is one of them.  Keep the faith, sometimes change is slow but it can also move quickly once the right conditions are in place.

Crawford - I completely agree. I mean when was the last time that Witt lost two conference games?
Oh wait, I guess it was 2019 - never mind!

Wabash and Wooster are tied as I write this, but I'm wondering if this game will convince Wabash to stop with all the fair catches?

Okay even I will admit it (though there is no need to) Wabash doesn't deserve any poll votes.  I miss the days of Wabash having a shut-down defense.  Nice win for Wooster.

Just saw the LG/COW score... Somewhat surprised

Don't be. This is what's been coming since 2015.

We weren't going to the next level up. We were going to the next level down.

We went a decade and a half without losing to Wooster. Now we've lost to them twice in a row. Gee, what's changed since then?

All I will say is I refuse to believe our defensive personnel is as bad as the last two weeks would lead you to believe.  Make of that what you will.

Crawford

Wabash's defenses used to be physical, fast and aggressive.  The differences in the style since the 2016 season (and on) has been difficult to watch. The Wabash teams prior of 2016 as I recall had difficultly on offense during big games.  Could part of the "problem" be that the best athletes are now on offense instead of the D?  I agree with you Li'l Giant.
