Depauw Alum 05 welcome to the board, always good to see new faces and Depauw was rarely been represented here.  Appreciate your optimism for Bash and you are correct, many times you can throw out the records for the Bell Game.

Andries is a good leader, and McCahill behind him will be solid going forward.  Good young talent all over the field, DePauw will be a handful the next few years.  We are going to have to step up our game if we want to see the Bell more than once a year.

I did not have "Shootout with Kenyon" on my 2021 Wabash Football Bingo Card.

How are all these mediocre offenses/teams having best ever games against a team who are known for hard hat D?

I literally was about to write the same thing.  Wish Bash would realize the same thing and get a real D coordinator.  This is embarrassing.

We're going to need more vodka for the 2nd half. . .

So is our strategy to always fair catch and start on 25...then let their kickoff team get runbacks or set up good field position!

Unfortunately the answer is YES, WAF - Wabash Always Fair-catches.

old wabash

Even Kenyon announcers are surprised by their teams offense and puzzled about our fair catch/ kicking strategies!

Crawford

Old Wabash, maybe Morel's strategy is to not return any until the Bell Game and try to surprise Depauw. But since we have no game time experience I suspect that will ed disastrously, with miles of penalties...

The defense calmed down. The offense kept doing what it was doing. It's a win. I'd like to see the defense improve against Witt and Depauw (signed, Captain Obvious).

Wabash 59, Kenyon 34

Outscored Kenyon 24-6 in the second half, which is the team all of us expect to see.  Did they figure something out at halftime?  Do we have to wait until halftime to figure things out?  Next two weeks we won't have that luxury.

Let's hope whatever changed at halftime continues.

Props to the offense - they were on point pretty much the entire game.  3 and out on the 1st series, get the ball back on a running into the kicker, and they were off to the races.

Crawford

Looking at the box score stats, Wabash gave up 132 return yards, and only had 36 (mostly from 3 interceptions).  Spotting both the Old and New Tigers, 100 yards is not going to win games.
