I'll be at the Iowa / Purdue game this weekend so I won't be able to watch it live but I think wind generally points to Wabash being able to control the ball on offense. Liam is such a dual-threat QB that I think they could drop back to pass a few times but with the intention of clearing out the defense for him to run the ball.

Thinking more about Wabash/Kenyon tomorrow:
I'm forecasting (ugh) that both teams will still throw the ball but shorten their routes.  Both QBs have strong arms and are accurate.   If the prospects of a lot of long passes diminish, the defenses can contract and make even the short passing game difficult  And if the ball is wet... The chance of rain seems to be greatest in the first half.  I'm also interested in how the teams choose to manage their choice on the wind.  Thankfully, the temperature promisess to be moderate, high 50s to low 60s.

You're going to watch Iowa play offense on purpose?   :o

Trust me, I live in Iowa now, and watching the offensive offenses for both of the Power 5 teams is quite the drain.

Iowa - Purdue in high wind advisories, absolutely degenerate football, I legit cannot wait. The punting will be incredible.

Good call Sigma One, Wabash is still passing.

Not sure the weather has made much difference:
26 of 29 for 382 and four touchdowns is a pretty good half!
It's either a thoughtful comment or smartass sarcasm. Recognize the difference.

Purdue could use a reminder that you don't wear white at home!!

The wind was fierce at Little Giant Stadium today, which didn't bother Liam:  30-34, 450 yds, 4TDs passing and one rushing in 2 and a half quarters before Wabash did its usual thing.  The score was 49-13 at that point.  Kenyon scored twice more to make the final 49-25.  Big concern going into the Bell Game for the LGs is rushing D.  Kenyon 250+ on the ground.

DePauw with the 72-0 win over Oberlin to make a statement. Nothing like running hurry up and scoring 35 points in the second half all while passing in the fourth quarter. Has Wabash even scored 35 points combined in the second half of games against the OWU, Hiram, Oberlin, and Kenyon combined?

Seems like two different mindsets.

DePauw is just getting it while they can.

Also, seems a little surreal that Witt has to play an 0-6 first year program in order to be .500!

Just finished rewatching the game. I'm not as concerned with the run defense as I am with the tackling. Missed tackles at the LOS led directly to 3 of the 30+ yard runs Kenyon had today. It also seemed Kenyon did a really good job in keeping Wabash off-balance as they ran the ball on some downs where you wouldn't expect it - getting some chunk yardage.

But, yeah - I agree, the run defense will need to be better next week but I think it starts with tackling and not letting a back run through 4-5 arm tackles on a long run. DePauw also has a mobile quarterback, which Wabash always struggles against.
