I don't know about y'all but the afternoon before the Bell Game is always a pretty unproductive time for me. I've just been watching Monon Memories on Youtube so far. I've also been wondering how my clove vodka is doing. . .

A tradition unlike any other.  :)

About an inch of snow on the ground this morning for the Bell game. Should be cleared up by kickoff and shouldn't have an impact on the game today.

Rough first half.  That run game and defense for DePauw is standing tall so far.  Need to regroup and figure it out at halftime.

This game has just been brutal for the Little Giants.  We don't look excited.  Constant arm tackle attempts.  We are being thoroughly out-coached (not that it surprises me).  Give it to Depauw, they really wanted this, particularly after last year's game.  I hope for a come back but...

Am I surprised that Wabash couldn't get up for the biggest game of the year? No. Perennial 6-4 or 7-3 team with Morel at the helm.

Rare DePauw statement win in an awesome rivalry admittedly tipped toward 'bash in the modern era. Spectacular defense to say the least. Loved the downhill run game setting up the wide open 2nd half TDs through the air. Will keep it respectful, but would only ask Wally to update his ancient signature quote to reflect today's SIX sacks on 'bash's all world offense.

You all are worthy and honorable rivals. I will savor this one. Cheers to this great rivalry.

Let's think about the following three things: (1) Lose the Bell; (2) Don't make the playoffs; and (3) Three or more losses.

2022 is the first season Wabash has had all 3 of the above since 2004. We are absolutely not getting back to 10-0 and a couple of playoff wins with our current staff. If this staff can't do better than 7-3 and no Bell with our best QB ever, then it's not ever going to be better.

We are in danger of wasting the Liam Thompson era.

All that being said: Depauw did what they had to do and flat out whupped our ass. Where I'm from we call that a "santa chinga". Hats off to them. They have a good thing going on down there.

We are going in opposite directions.

Sorry but if Ridings, Stambaugh, and Riordan are retained, Wabash isn't serious about football.  As long as Dietz and Mannering are at Depauw...Wabash will not win another conference title.  Morel talks about putting a "tough" team on the field but he coaches soft.  The tough, aggressive, nasty program resides in Greencastle!

Methinks the problem lies at the top.

Congratulations to Depauw. Hope you represent the NCAC well in the playoffs.  Extreme long shot but I wish Wabash would change directions with the football coaching staff, especial at the top.

A dominant game by DePauw today. Congrats to them. Gus Baumgartner reminds me a lot of Billy Kaiser, both on and off the field; a good kid who would have been equally good in red.

The only good thing about today is that games like that make the rivalry stronger.

And for the record — you will not hear me questioning Coach Morel or the leadership of this team. I admit there are some issues, but this program (once again) recruits, retains and graduates good Wabash men while doing it within the rules and the Spirit of the College.

It's either a thoughtful comment or smartass sarcasm. Recognize the difference.

Well, while you may well be right about that, so did Chris Creighton and Eric Raeburn with a much more entertaining and satisfying product on the field.  The Morel hiring was completely uninspiring and the results of it has showed up on the field.

I'd give Morel one more year with the condition that he changes every coach on the defensive side of the ball!

The problem is I think this is what the admin wanted. They didn't want to have to worry about having our head coach getting interviewed every off-season. Mission accomplished. Nobody is trying to scoop our coach.
