Is it possible that Kenyon, Oberlin, and Hiram are the worst bottom three of any conference in the country right now?  Upper Midwest maybe? USAC?
It's either a thoughtful comment or smartass sarcasm. Recognize the difference.

Those three are definitely better than the bottom of the UMAC.

Hiram College wins the inter-collegiate basketball world championship at the World's Fair Universal Exposition Olympic Games in St. Louis, Missouri. Final score: Hiram, 25; Latter Day Saints University, 18.

Mostly talking about Kenyon and Oberlin ...  8-)

Round of applause for teams scheduling the likes of Alma (4-0, Top 25), Butler (FCS, 3-1), Linfield (2-0, #8), and
UW River Falls (3-0, #6).  For several schools these replaced Hilbert as an OOC opponent.

This week in the Conference--

DEPAUW (4-0) at OBERLIN (1-3).  DPU has been dominant against sketchy competition,  but opened NCAC play with a good win v. OWU, 28-7,  The NEW TIGERS can name the score this week v. the YEOMEN.
HIRAM (0-4) at KENYON (0-4)   Does home field advantage mean anything when the only winless teams in the Conference face one another? HIRAM's closest loss is by 31 pts and KENYON's by 16.  They have both given up more than 50 ppg so far.  Maybe it's best to think of the game as a toss up with both teams needing a first win to avoid a potential last-place finish in the NCAC.
WABASH (2-1) at OHIO WESLEYAN (2-2)  An important game for both teams as they seek to stay close to the top of the NCAC.
OWU has usually played the LGs tough at home.  Look for both teams to score points and for the outcome to be decided by mistakes.  OWU appears to have the better D and WABASH has the edge on O.
DENISON (3-1) at WITTENBERG (2-1).  The BIG RED O has been proficient (the exception being v. Linfield).  Their three wins,
however, are v. Capital, Oberlin, and Hiram (who are combined 1-11),  WIT squeezed by Dubuque, 28-27, and last week lost to Alma.  They have faced the tougher schedule so far.  Does any of this matter?  Along with WABASH/OWU this is the premier Conference game on Saturday.  DEN 5th year seniors could be the difference makers, but WIT is seeking to redeem themselves after a down 2022.
WOOSTER rests after running over KENYON last week, 70-20.  They need the break because their next 3 games are v.
WABASH, DEPAUW, and DENISON.

Wabash is looking very good today. Blowout over Ohio Wesleyan.

Watched the first half of the Wabash / OWU game.  Wabash's offense looked prosaic and the play calling was stale, but scored 28 points, so guess they didn't did to do anything fancy.  The Defense was the best I've seen them in a long time.  Nice win for the Little Giants.

Think they just knew that they could be very vanilla and win easily.

I thought todays first half was maybe the best half of football against a competitive team that Wabash has played since they flipped around the 21-0 deficit against DPU in 2021. LT2 wasn't his atomic clock accurate self today and it was fine because the defense absolutely sat on a decent OWU offense.  That's the good stuff right there.

Anyone know where I can watch the Wabash OWU game? It is not in their on-demand section and can't find a link to it either on the OWU webpage.

Here ya go. Scroll down to Recent.  Audio is out for much of the first half. Ditto for most of their info panel (game clock, etc.). Makes you appreciate the performance level of the Wabash broadcasts.

Just finished watching the rest of the game. The score can be deceiving in the Wabash/OWU game because as soon as it is a 3 score lead...Morel sits on the ball.

Wabash was up 31-0 in the third and only threw 5 passes in the second half. They had a 15-play drive that took 10 minutes and went for it on 4th down inside of the red zone on that drive with under two minutes left in the game. They also ran the ball in the second half multiple times on 3rd down and long in the 2H and then just punted it.

Probably could have been a 56-0 type game if they wanted it to be. All points for OWU came against the 2nd string defense as did 126 of the 208 yards by OWU since Wabash played full backups in the 4th quarter.

Dominant win.

I also watched the 2nd half of the Wabash / OWU game this afternoon, thanks for the link BashFan74.  That 10 minute drive in the 4th quarter was beautiful and I respect that Morel doesn't run up the score, and lets the 2nd unit get minutes.
