Brand new to this board, but my belief is that Wabash will win or lose NOT on the basis of its offense, but its quarterback defense.  A scrambling passer has driven "The Little Giants" nuts this year.  Nobody they face will have a bad offense.  The difference is how the teams defend a variety of attacks.  Wabash can defend the run, but what about defending the scrambling quarterback?

Then it's a good thing they don't have to face a scrambling QB this weekend.  Pentello can buy himself some time in the pocket but he has -71 yards rushing on the year.

bash,

I haven't seen the wabash backers yet, but don't jump the gun on giving them the advantage yet, cap has two playmakers at outside, and a freight train on the inside.

The Wabash backers are great, but the key to their success is how well Lange, White, Schaffer and Kempf play up front. I think Lange and White have really shone this season, making Parker and Adi all the better.

I'm concerned about our secondary - I think Peterman is playing well for a freshman - but worry about the big play.

Wabash needs the O-Line to do what they did against Albion, and also for Roop, Oggie and DJB to run well.

It's going to be a great one.

That makes two of us.  That's all we did on Saturday, was give up the big play, we could've blanked them had we just defended five plays better, essentially.  I don't know that they had a really sizable sustained drive all day?!

Thanks to Peter King I realized I forgot to post the Wabash HaikuTM:

Big day for Harbaugh.

Does anybody know how to check up on the status of your playoff pickem sheet?

Are you just supposed to do this on your own or what?

I'm posting this question on several boards in the hope that I will get a response soon.

I'd like to know that as well.  I had trouble doing it last year too.  In fact I could never figure it out.

All NCAC teams and post season awards have been announced.

Congrats to the Little Giants who are well represented.  Harbaugh POY (who would have predicted that???).  How about all 4 LBs making the 1st team!!!

Wabash leads the way with 10 first team selections.  All four Wabash LBs made the first team!  That's amazing.  Wabash also has four of their five o-linemen on the first or second team.

Awards go to:

Harbaugh - Mike Gregory Award
Clervoix - Hank Critchfield Award
Shepherd - Newcomer of the  Year
Creighton - Coach of the Year

While I am a HUGE  Creighton fan... My vote for coach of the year goes to Coach Stanley of the Lords. I think turning Kenyon in to a 6-1 NCAC 2nd Place team is an amazing accomplishment.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to slight Creighton...

GO WABASH! BEAT CAPITAL!

BashDad

Congratulations to all the coaches and the Wabash Little Giants--as we fans have known and been saying all along, it is our TEAM that is the secret of our success.  It's so wonderful to see that those apart from the program agree!  Bigger "fish to fry"-- Capital is next on Saturday at the Hollett!

Go L'il Giants!

Mansfiew,

That is a legit thought.  CC is very deserving.  We are having a great year, and we are not done yet.  Coach Stanley did a pheononomial job and could of been CoY, and I don't think to many people could of complained.

CONGRATULATIONS to all that made the NCAC all conference teams.

BASHDAD & BASHBRO

Must be a proud day for the 2 of you, and the rest of family.  CONGRATULATIONS!

As always!

WallyFS4 -

Thank you.

Congratulations to all of the All-Conference selections on a great year of achievement and teamwork.

I think Russ would be the first one to give much of the credit for his success this year to his fantastic O-Line and what is one of, if not the best all around receiving corps in school history.
