the job is great...i believe the hiring practice is flawed... just one man's opinion...

I would think that Walker would take the job if offered.  I would think he would give up the head baseball job.  If for no other reason, for monetary reasons.  If Walker is offered the job, I believe he would be there until he would retire, or be ask to leave.  As always.

THE NEWS IS NOW ON THE DEPAUW WEBSITE.

Li'l Giant

Wow. Just, wow. What could possibly have caused this? What could Depauw have done to make Rogers want to leave them in the lurch like that? Or what else could he have been offered?

Li'lGiant, imo it was an accident waiting to happen...Depauw needs to examine the hiring process...

Well, in my office we've had people seem like superstars during the hiring process that ended up being demons from the pit of Hell. My previous legal assistant for example.

Having never met the man I can only rely on the statements of those who have.

It's a bit surprising that Depauw didn't state why he resigned. I would think if it were a result of his conduct we'd hear about it. Else, some are going to think they don't know what they're doing down there.

Li'l Giant, here's the secret...if you are hiring a salesperson or a position that values aggressiveness, hire the the most agressive of the spouses...if not, you got a problemo my friend...

question, did you ever meet and/or dine with your legal assistant's spouse...hmmmmmm... ;)

Actually, I met him at the firm XXX-mas party. He's a nice guy. With a harpy for a wife.

HoosierQBScout,

Nice work brother in breaking that story.  Wow - that is freaking incredible.  Scotty you were dead on, nice job to you too.  For the record, Matt Walker NEVER was the starting QB for DePauw - I think he held for PATs and maybe a clipboard.  The DPU story said he was a former starting QB - hmm?

What a mess!  He's not ready, I don't care how "good a guy he is" - he is a college baseball coach!  Also, what a whacked staff too with the recent hires, do you think the newly hired assistants will check out too?  Wouldn't you love to see & hear the first staff meeting.  "Well guys, today I want to work on 1st and 3rd situations...oh wait, I mean bunt defenses, no I mean..."

I wonder if this will interfere with Walker's Summer baseball career for the mighty Crawfordsville Eagles?

I wonder if they still have DICK?   ;D
