I prefer Wabash running the table in the NCAC and winning the conference over everyone if not Wooster because the away games there have always been the most fun. The fans are crazy but nice, the stadium is beautiful and the college's website gives more info on upcoming games and the opposing teams than  the oppposing school does.  And if you've ever been to the MONON BELL CLASSIC,well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That will get you karma every time. *applause*

Thank you for that compliment.  I believe Wabash people are passionate about Wabash and Wabash football and hospitality is a central part of this passion.

We will try our hardest to win, want to do so fair and square and also with visitors leaving feeling that they just might want to come back.  In that vein ... the Wooster tailgate should be great ... BB16's young footballers should have crushed all 3rd/4th grade competition by then ... so the tailgates will flourish.  Maybe a little wood burning if the weather requires.  Woo-ers are, welcome ... we always have a little extra stored up to pass around.  Hope the bagpipes appear.  Wabash will ... of course ... do our darndest to win.

Although a Wooster Scot from way back(before the NCAC), call 'em as I see 'em.  Been to all the other campuses over the years and Wabash has been the most enjoyable experience, win or lose, for me and my wife. Even before NCAC champioship runs. Also been to a number of MAC games and until this year's Kent-Akron game cannot remember more people at an MAC game than the Monon Bell game, at least when game at Wabash.  And yes, beautiful females show up to support Wabash.

Have many thoughts on that dating back to Judd Goode era. Just jv so cannot respond. Any thoughts?

On the home page of Wabash College, at the bottom right, there is a spot on "Alumni". Click into there, and go to Pete Metzelaas. I know we have spoke of his talent, on the gridiron & hardcourt; this one is worth reading. Don't ask why I went to the LG's site, but I just couldn't bring myself to provide the link! Good Luck to all on Saturday...GO BISHOPS

Nike,

It is spelled Good, as in Brandon Good. Since Wooster's Web site, like the rest of the NCAC, is so sparse, you think you would have had time to look that up. ;)

By the way, Good holds the Div. III record for consecutive games with at least one reception (40). That was back when Wooster threw to wide receivers.

Wabash has improved its Web site for sure, but it should be pointed out that they only have to cover half the sports that the rest of the NCAC does, meaning its sports people have double the time to spend on their programs, especially football. In the fall, they only have three sports (football, men's cross country and soccer), while the rest of the NCAC has seven fall sports.

Sorry Seinfelde, my mistake on Good. Our helmets were leather and I got hit in the head a lot.  Judd and Good were roommates, which probably explains all the passes thrown his way. But he was a nice receiver with a speedster on the other side that teams were REALLY afraid of. Regardless of number of teams covered, Wabash website is great. And I only look at football stuff. Wooster's could be better and Witt's is very good also. Mt. Union's is huge in terms of info available, which makes sense.  OWU, well last time I checked they still had team picture of 2005 team. But the streaming of  games is nice. Wife lets me go to these school's football games when we have friends whose kids have played at the various schools over the years.  And like I said earlier, Wooster's teams have not always been much fun to watch.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already.. I'm entirely too lazy to go back through the 20 pages or so that have been used up this week (not nearly as busy over on the SCAC page)...

I'll be at MSJ/Franklin broadcasting the game for d3football.com.  Just thought you folks might like to know that's available.

Nah, wasn't mentioned on the NCAC page, only on the HCAC. Have a good broadcast.

Very well, then.  Thought it might be worth mentioning.  Perhaps a tad interesting for you Wabash folk.

Wabash's website is great.

What time are the buses pulling out today.  It's alway nice as a player to hop on the bus for an overnighter.  I'm sure Wabash does it more than Wittenberg.  We only overnight to Meadville and Crawfordsville.  And when we were luck enough to go to Mount.  When I was wa freshman we overnighted to Case Western.  Just something about the overnights that seemed to make a guy focused.  I guess because most of the time it was against a quality opponent.

A question that hasn't been asked this week about the Witt/Wabash game, is everyone healthy?  As far as I know Wittenberg will be a full strength Saturday.

Go Tigers!

Wooster fans don't sell yourselves short. I very much enjoyed going to Wooster and the atmosphere was great. I told several family members that we were going to all have to go next year, well worth the trip. I have to say that the band is a big part of it, they still give me goose bumps. A nice size crowd and an OWU win was also nice. Witt has a good football atmosphere and a good crowd. Kenyon was also fun to visit. There is something to be said about having your own band and one as special as Wooster's. I for one will visit Wooster again whether to watch a family member or not.

I was looking forward to visiting other stadiums this year but considering the circumstances I decided not to.

I envy you all going to the Wabash/Witt game. The atmosphere there will be unbelievable. That game will be the epitome of what football is all about, from fan to player to an outside oberver looking in. Good luck to both teams, I hope everyone stays healthy and both teams play their best game.
