- OWU is streaming video of their game vs. Franklin.  Awesome.  Everybody needs to be doing this without exception.

For fans of Denison, Wooster, and OWU, CWRU has streaming video of its home games this year.

Nice!  Do you think the stream for the Wooster game will get a shot of the Baird Trophy?  I need to see this thing.

wally_wabash,
You did your homework.
I did not realize so much of his yardage came from three games. And I have not seen every other back, just most of them.  But we will know a lot more about Wooster's season tomorrow about this time. Looking forward to the best popcorn and hot dogs around. Unless I get something from the Shack before the game..
Bring on the bagpipes!

Ohio Wesleyan: Home of Streaming Video football Games & the UPDATED football website. Yes, after months of reading the 2006 PREVIEW, "H" and Da Boyz got it right....figures, the game is on Saturday...man, I'd hate to be a recruit. Let's hope for a better game against the Griz this year. Men of Wabash will be tuned-in, because you guys need payback. Good Luck to all...To a great 2007 grid season and NO INJURIES!!! GO BISHOPS

According to today's Daily Record, JCU has a transfer running back from Bowling Green.

http://www.the-daily-record.com/news/article/2480311

Now, based on what he did in high school, this isn't any ordinary transfer. This looks like the OAC version of Tony Sutton. He rushed for 2,300 yards and 36 TDs at St. Edward, a major Div. I school in Cleveland. He also finished third in the Mr. Ohio Football voting.

Wooster is in major trouble.

seinfeld,

Since I don't have a paid subscription to the Wooster Daily Record, might the article give us some more complete info on the 2002 3rd place Mr. Ohio Football???  Redshirted in 2002, played a little in 2003.........and now entering his 6th year after high school graduation and being named 3rd place, he's listed as a junior at JCU? How quick do you really think he is?? Inquiring minds want to know...:)

Inquiring minds might also ask why he has played so little in five years?

Being impatient and very adapt at googling, research says Mr Stover appeared for the Falcons briefly in 3 games in the middle of the 2004 season. 2005 is unknown. 2006 he was on the roster as a RS senior. He appeared on a recruiting list for Ashland University this year. He's not mentioned in the JCU 2007 recruiting news or the 2007 media guide. Survey says.....injuries have been a big issue. Interestingly, he will face a Woo defender who was recruited by those same Falcons in 2004....until injury slowed him down briefly too.

Let the games begin....:)

I have no clue as to his condition now, but he saw the field in both 2003 & 2004 at Bowling Green. And based on what he did in high school, at one time he was one of the best high school backs in Ohio. So tomorrow could see just about anything. A dominating back that can't be stopped, or maybe just a good athlete that is out of shape. I'm guessing somewhere in between. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't easily go over the 100-yard mark. Couple this with a QB that played a couple of games at Ohio U., and you have a regular Mt. Union growing up in University Heights.

It's a little hard to find since there's little logic to the order of listing in the JCU Recruiting News, but he is listed there in a paragraph with other ST. Ed's recruits and beginning with mention of the St. Ed's new coach, formerly with JCU.

Terrible Terrier

I guess since my beloved Hiram Terriers are staying on the porch this weekend, it's up to the big dogs of the conference to get the season off on a winning note. Good luck to all the NCAC teams.  Do the conference and my resurgent Terriers proud... :)
The Terriers might not beat you on the football field, but we always leave our mark!

That thing is awesome.  Do they sell little Baird Bros. Trophy keychain replicas?  If not, they should.   :)
