I know most of us, if not all of us would not have are starting QB on the hands team.  CC had  the best QB ever(my opinion) Knott also on the hands team.  As much as I disagree with his decission.  I would take CC over any other coach out there.  I can promise you, there is nobody that feels worst than CC.  Not for his decision, but for Huff.  I don't have to agree with CC 100% of the time, but I support him 100% of the time.  As always.

Fijidoc,

I will try to email you directly.  I shouldn't have speculated and deleted my previous post.

Sorry.  Sounds like the Press will have the facts when things settle down.

FS4 - great points and good post.  Agreed.

Wally - can't believe I found this...Delaware Gazette of all places...2-6 weeks apparently.

"Ohio Wesleyan was without senior starting quarterback Steve Hymes who is out for two to six game with a fractured fibula, an injury he suffered on the last play of the Bishops' season opener with Franklin University."  Link:  http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:v8DKN2mxYU8J:www.delgazette.com/sports.asp+hymes+ohio+wesleyan+injury&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=4&gl=us

What's with NCAC QBs and fractured fibulas???

wally_wabash

Strange...the common thread is Franklin!  Tri-State's qb better watch his lower limbs.   :)

It certainly doesn't sound like Hymes will be available for the Wabash game on 9/22 which is unfortunate.

Franklin College = leg breakers? Quick, hand me a roster...and only related to Paulie Walnuts, Silvio Dante, or Chris Moltessani?

We need you back at the ranch ... for a refresher ...

"Its Another ... Wabash College .... 1st down!"    Was simply not the same ....  Perhaps ... if even by telephone ... call and coach the proper inflection/timing/tempo/enthusiasm).  One game and already you are missed.

Tri-State's QB should be OK for most of the game . . . . he should just be as far away from the field as possible on the last play.  I bet the thought has already crossed his mind.  ;)

Then he'll get struck by lightning. ;)

That may be a good call, LG.  Defiance rolls into Angola, Saturday, coming off that damp, overnight game at Otterbein last week.  The TSU QB has an extra week to enjoy without crutches  ;D

No surprise here . . . Dustin Huff has been named NCAC Offensive Player of the Week.

And Huff will be out six to eight weeks. Read the Journal-Review article HERE

6-8 would make more sense after seeing it on Saturday - the torn ligament hurts thinking about it.  I thought 3-5 weeks was a miracle.  Can still make it back though by season's end...

Good article on the back up candidates - http://www.wabash.edu/news/displaystory.cfm?news_ID=4945

I wonder if CC will announce the starter prior to Saturday?

Here is another link to 'Bashes QB outlook:

It doesn't look all that bad.   I am sure one of these young men will step up.  They can use this week as "Pre-Season" game since it is Non-Conference.  ;)

Will 21D  Kyle Augustinovicz need to get a REAL Number since #21 is taken by Richard Roomes SR  DB  6-0 208 Clay South Bend, IN who plays?  I think CC will go with #14 to start, since he is the one who took the knee on Saturday and he has more knoweledge (practice time) with the staff.

I am not a big fan of QB Rotations as long as he give the "Starter" more of a chance than Frye got in Cleveland last week.

Well, as long as CC doesn't trade him on Monday it can't be all that bad.  ;D
