Witt...keep me posted, the audio feed is rough for me

Li'l Giant

Props to the LGs for the adjustments at the half. Great performance in the 2nd half.

Props to Wally_Wabash on the spread. I don't know how he does it.

And props to aueagle for being a good sport. Anybody who quotes "Wall Street" is alright with me.

I'm assuming the diss was for not taking a knee?

Props to OWU for playing tough! Well done Wabash!

Witt had great play calling in the 1st half.

Passing on 1st downs, mixing it up.

2nd half, played typical Witt ball. Ball and clock control.

Alma was never in the game if not for Witt fumbles and Witt penalties.

On one Alma scoring drive, Alma picked up 30 yds in back to back personal fouls. Both scoring drives for Alma starting on a short field.

Witt defense is BACK.   :-*

Congrats to Witt on a nice non-conference victory.

Nice job Little Giants in the 2nd half.  Defense nice job pretty much all day.

OWU, played tough today.  I like Fisher a lot.  Would like to see him get a chance at a full game, I believe he would put up some numbers.

The video stream was great.

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

You should hear the over the air signal. :'(

I am about 5 miles from campus and can hardly hear the call over the static.
Sometimes the signal from Central State bleeds onto WUSO, its fun to listen to two games at a time.

If you know the history of Wittenberg Radio, the present radio is a joke.

Around 1928, the then Wittenberg Radio Station(WCSO) was heard across
America, Canada  and Mexico. The transmitter  was built by the Physics Department of Witt. Entertainers from the vaudeville theaters appeared on WCSO after their nightly performances in local theaters. Witt sold their 50,000 watt transmitter to WJR in Detroit in 1931. Yes, the present giant WJR. Just think how powerful Witt would be across the nation if Witt's sports were heard nationally as well as internationally. I guess Kinnison was not the first Witt president to ruin Witt's Sports.

Witt's radio power is now 120 watts.

Now you know the rest of the story....

From the MIAA board:

Tri-State:  14
Franklin:  38

QB Eric Watt (Tri-State) was hurt during the game, but I don't know the extent of the injury.  They're announcing either a knee or ankle injury, no idea of how severe at this time.

What is it with Franklin and Qb's legs?

Good game today...very disappointed the Bishop offense can't score....the 1st half was inspired ball...as they say: The cream rises to the top...and Wabash had the composure & game experience to wait for opportunities....OWU has to develope the characteristics of a championship ballclub: that will take time. Will assess more later....I will look forward to the Men of Wabash "Road Warriors" for their on-site analysis of the game, Selby, crowd, tailgating, etc,,,
To Sturdybeggar, Li'l Giant, bashbrother & gobash....Congrats & Big Hoo-ya to you guys...you made the game fun...even w/the intensity...Good-Luck the rest of the way....
Li'l Giant: Your right, the diss by the announcer was for not taking the  knee....Hey, me...I would have thrown the ball, so I am cool with the call CC made....and for you & GG......."This is the kid, calls me 59 days in a row, wants to be a player. "

While some people might be surprised that Wooster lost to Case (much worse than the final indicates) or by their poor start, I think some Tony Sutton induced amnesia may have masked Wooster's position in the football landscape this decade.

The three years before Schmitz became head coach, Wooster went 9-1, 8-2 and 8-2. In Schmitz's first two years, the Scots went 6-4 and 4-6, and after winning his four games as head coach, Schmitz went 6-10 over the next 16 games. Then Sutton arrives, carrying the Wooster program on his back for three years, leading them to their first ever playoff berth. I think he, in part, also helped Wooster get a very good recruiting class that just graduated last year. But now that he has been gone for three years, Wooster is returning to the team it was heading towards after the 2001 season -- a yearly .500 squad.

Schmitz record with Sutton -- 25-5 (.833)
Schmitz record without Sutton -- 25-20 (.555)

I'm not trying to kick Wooster while they are down. I root for them every game, and will continue to do so, but I'm also realistic at the same time. With seven defensive starters and four offensive starters, including three offensive linemen, graduating this year, I'm searching for reasons to be optimistic going forward. Wooster has not won in Springfield since just after WWII, and OWU showed today that they aren't a pushover. Where are the points going to come from for Wooster to beat any solid team this year?
