Would like to see Wabash work on their running game in the second half.

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Post Game Report....Gambier, Ohio
Kenyon Coach Ted Stanley, "We gave-up over 450 yards in offense, that's a problem. We are not getting it done...14 flags against us....the players are not getting it done & the coaches are not getting it done.......it's very frustrating right now."
The coach & announcer said the OWU offense is tough to defend against and it is a triple option with a extended wishbone.....
Coach Stanley also said Kenyon needs to step-up in recruiting....HELLO!!

Today's loss for Wooster 58-7 was their worst in 13 years.  (66-0 Witt 1994)  Tough times at Woo.

Back to the Bash game.

Kennon is having a career day.  I bet when it's all said and done, he'll have 10 tackles for loss for over 50 yards.   :o

Allegheny 14  Denison 0  Final

Looking forward to the short trip (for me at least  ;D) up to Meadville next week for another LG victory!

I'm getting tired of the Wabash announcers complaining about the officiating - they do this every week.  >:(
Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash

To those that were at/listening to the Wit-Woo game are you sure the football team showed up?

I noticed that both soccer teams play at Witt tonight and thought they might have told the football team to take the day off and stay back in Woo since they were already making the trip.  The 1:00 tilt would be a good warm-up for them to get the juices flowing.   ???  :-\

38-0 in the 1st quarter.....YIKES!!!

C.P. Porter looked really good in the 4th quarter.  Here's a kid from Ben Davis who ran for over 250 on Warren Central last year.  I really liked what I saw from him and I hope he gets some more carries if Sobecki isn't going to do better than 3 yards per carry.  In fact, looking at the stats, Porter was the leading rusher for Wabash today.

Kennon had 4 sacks today and was all over the Earlham backfield.  If Adi hadn't won NCAC DPOY a couple of weeks ago, Kennon would be a lock.   Monster game from DK.

Maybe if your offensive line was as good as Penn high school, Sobecki might see a few holes. Who is C.P.Porter? Sobecki is one of the best overall running backs to come out of Penn. Get friggin' real.

Homecoming next week against juggernaut OWU.  Can't wait!  OWU actually gave the ball to their running backs and had two backs other than the quarterback rush for over 100 yds.  I should coach.  I guess it's between Wabash and Witt again for all the marbles.  May consider that for my Oct. 13 game. WOW! We were 8-2 last year and lost to Witt 24-21. Drushal and his mates up front are desperately missed by this offense.

Easy scotty...I'm saying nothing of Sobecki's ability, just speaking to what I've seen on the field this year.  Porter carried six times today and gained more yards rushing than anybody else who stepped on the field at Hollett today (either team).  Wabash's rush game has to get better.  The line has to play better, no doubt (btw I'm not sure why the shot at the LG line...you'd trade the Wooster line for the Wabash line in a cocaine heartbeat).  But Porter, Sobecki, and Kimp are all running behind the same line and it only makes sense to ride the guy who is producing.  Sobecki hasn't really gotten it going through four games.  Porter has six carries...the sample size isn't large, but I don't see the harm in giving the kid a shot.

I'll not be surprised to see a lot of younger guys starting to get a shot for Wabash.  Finley missed a PAT today.  His punting has been lights out, his placekicking has been awful.  Wabash has a frosh who can reportedly bang it...why not give him a shot?  Sobecki isn't gaining yards at the clip Wabash needs.  Why not give Porter a shot?  This game is about winning...gotta play the guys who give you the best chance to win.

My question was..."Who is CP Porter? You stated he rushed for over 250 yards against Warren University. I follow Indiana high school football very closely and he wasn't on my radar. Was that in a starting position or a "mop up" role? Sobecki is a PT guy with football skills and a great football vision. Your comment about swapping olines will be disregarded as I have no horse in the race.

Hello fellow NCAC board posters. I have bad news as I return from the Woo-Witt debacle... It is my sad duty to report that as I was leaving the game, our very own ScotLass was being led off in a straight jacket mumbling, murmuring, screaming..."fullback ,where’s the fullback" "what do they do at practice knit sweaters for the homeless?" "coach Schmitz you said you would change your offensive ways, you said you would CHANGE!!” ;D ;D ;D
So if you think about it... We have to kill these animals or else they will die...... Guess that makes us environmentalists

If you don't have a horse, then why take a shot at the Wabash line?

Maybe because Mr D3 Football brought up a good kid in a negative way...3 yards a carry. Way to build teamwork. At Penn, we don't throw anyone under the bus. Still waiting for the resume on CP Porter.
